Mine is preparing shipment right now, but I was bored and decided to look at the exact times the they sent it to UPS.

Average time was 3:30pm EST.

The max time was 9:50pm EST for There Will Be Blood day before release.


So far Amazon has 1 hour left to ship it or else it may end up in the same boat as TWBB.

- Return the 1st PS3 and if they ask for the $100 Gift Card Back, You have that one that the 2nd purchase of the PS3 got you. (+$399)

And there you have purchased a PS3 for $299. They can't argue with what your doing, but ask if you can use the $100 gift card towards the PS3 1st.

While typing this I realized something, didn't Wal-Mart say that, the gift-card they are giving you is only towards blu-ray disks? Or I must of misread it

thats the very reason they would probably let you use the gift card towards the first purchase, because you could do that and it would be a waste of everybody's time, so why not just let the person use the gift card towards the first ps3 purchase.

go to a wal-mart, they are more likely to give you cash, where a bby or gamestop might just give store credit (if thats an issue for you)

When they scan it, I don't think it would show up in their system

Wow please don't do this. Or if you do at least do it only if everyone else at your store gets a unit. Otherwise this will just piss off other people who actually want a PS3 because then they will have to wait until Walmart's inefficient customer service takes like 8 hours to put the returned unit back in Electronics.

I just called GameStop. Apparently one of the items in the LE is an artbook and they merely listed it separately. It is either bundled with it or something THEY bundle with it, not sure yet. Anywho, the guy said that my shipping was not overnight and it was too late to change it, but they have been known to give people free upgrades to overnight for big pre-ordered items before and it could happen here too. It looks like it is getting shipped tonight and will be at my house no earlier than tomorrow, no later than Friday.
So forgive me if I don't jump for joy for the next few days, unless I do get it tomorrow. Either way, this weekend will be full of Metal Gear!

I can feel for you. I just had a huge flood in my basement when my power went out and my sump pumps stopped working. So in the end I had to take out all the carpets and get new ones. I had no power for 2 days, and then I could only hook up my PS3 to a smaller EDTV which is great for what it is, but FULL of screen door effect. I JUST GOT my basement put back together last night at 11pm. I was too tired to barely look at my PS3 except to make sure everything still worked and was hooked up right. Now I am ready for Metal Gear.
Good luck on getting a bigger TV soon, it is definitely worth it. The trailers look awesome and I can't wait to put in the real game!

I think they said there was going to be an update right away since they found a bug or there were some updates they needed to make. Either way I think this was expected and they needed to get it up when the servers open tonight for the players.

Are the servers already open? Or are they waiting till midnight?
