Standard practice, almost everything gets returned if it doesn't sell. Some contracts are different though which is why we get the discount/blow-out sections of stores. Either from stuff selling longer than the return period then slowing, or no return policy, but most everything is returnable.

From the Prestige 4K thread:

And Disney likely agreed only with the caveat that Prestige would be limited. That would Disneysplain the tighter avail of both the limited-to-the-US box and the US Prestige standalone.

I can confirm this, my local BBs took their inventory off the floor and put it in the back presumably to send back - luckily I was able to get them to sell me one before they were sent back.

Might be worth keeping an eye on the Disney Movie Club website.

Again i wouldnt be surprised if it resurfaces on disney movie club in a month, keep an eye there. Or you can always import.

I ended up paying 26.99 with a coupon which was slightly better than the 29.99 being asked but its still the most ive paid for a 4k disc.

Honestly, just import the UK 4K UHD of The Prestige.

It's pretty much the version Nolan supervised while the US 4K UHD is rather gimped in comparison.

As far as i know the US/UK are both the same UHD a/v transfer. Warner mastered the video for disney and disney distributed it. The only content difference i know of is that the UK version has the newer Warner BD while the US version has the older disney BD. Also Warner has more foreign language tracks.

The Art of War was only available for a short time (~6 months) due to Morgan Creek leaving WB.

Yes, as far as we know. There has been a good bit of discussion about it in the Halloween thread. It is generally still available in Walmart stores, but stock seems to be dwindling at many. Best Buy's site still has it for sale apparently, though even a smaller site like Bull Moose is running low at this point.

Walmart and Bullmoose (except for a couple of used copies) are both out of stock. Only available at Best Buy now.

Now I know I made the right choice when I choose the Halloween 15 disc set over the Friday the 13th set.

I have both sets. At least the Friday set has digital copies of all the films. I wish the Halloween set did, too, but no huge deal I suppose.

Not this recent set that came out. The one from a couple of years ago in the tin set. That one had digital codes for all the films.

That was only available through Amazon for a very short time. I ended up having to pick up the UK set with it's way too fat cases.
