I'd agree with this. I find it to be very good looking on 4K and pleasing, despite my thoughts on the transfer being let loose in this fashion (not reference) to enable room for a remaster/re-release. It just is Universals MO. And I made my peace with it.

Lost World UHD is the bar any future JP remaster needs to rise up to match, though!

Lost World looks good but still far from perfect; that black crush is nasty.

Spielberg’s entries both deserve much more careful treatment.

Said this before but Jurassic Park and Jurassic World are the only good movies in the franchise IMO. The other three are varying degrees of bad, but they have their moments.
Gonna hardcore disagree here. TLW/JP3 aren't great in any sense of the word, but i'll take the flaws of those films over:

Owen Thunderguns

Cliche businesswoman

Annoying siblings that have zero bearing on the plot, with a side-plot of their own...that has no effect on the film

Feminist meme dinosaur doctor who has never seen a dinosaur

Annoying screaming nerd guy who doesn't want to even be there

Superhero dinosaurs

Hybrids

Little clone girls who release dinosaurs onto the nonconsenting public because "they're alive...like meeee"

Dinosaurs for army plot?

Wish they would release the first 4 movies on 4K separate.

You could import. They are in the UK and Australian markets as separate SKU.

Is it cheaper to import the first four or get the US set?

Did any retailer, in any country, get a round tin case for Fallen Kingdom?

You must be US based then?
As Nick4Knight said, they have individual releases in the UK, and the same thing here in Denmark

Claire DOES have an arc. She is kind of like a parallel to John Hammond. They both started as business people who put profits and investor satisfaction over everything else, and they thought they had their plans and vision under control. In the end, they both went through a life-endangering experience, where they had to chose loved ones over their dreams, leaving it in ruins.

This is the US section of the forum, so that's the default expectation. You seem surprised by it.

Anyway yes, if you're dying to only have one movie then import it. I believe the same thing was suggested to Batman for Men in Black though and he shrugged it off for some reason.

Uh, no. I didn't The point of the novels was:

Greedy Business practices which lead to...

Careless mistakes by cutting corners and costs thanks to...

the Hubris of Man, which leads to...

Man V. Nature, Man V. Science, Man V. God

Lost World was all about extinction.

None of those points I brought up about the terrible JW films had anything to do with the novels.

Let's not pretend now that, that isn't every one of his books and that they are the best written things ever.

I think The Lost World is my only movie with DTS X. Does anyone know a specific scene that will show me if my front overhead speakers (5.0.2) are working right in DTS X? I am only able to select DTS Neutral:X.

About the discussion above, I didn't like JW much. I'll probably never watch it again and I don't intend to see the sequel. I would prefer a reboot of the series. Just remake the first book on film. Follow it more closely this time, make it less a family movie, make Hammond actually evil this time.

You don't remake Spielberg while Spielberg is alive.

I put on Fallen Kingdom on Friday in a desperate hope of finishing this film for the 2nd time. Still could not do it ! There are a few spare fun moments in the film here & there, but overall it is a chore to get through. That's pretty sad cause it's quite beautiful to look at.
