Still a first day purchase for me too.
It's the MSRP. I doubt you'll be paying anywhere near that ammount. Well, unless you're a sucker.

25 years? Damn, I remember traipsing 3 miles in a blizzard to go see this with my brother. Great days!!

This is one of the few movies I will push back my "reasonable price" boundaries to pick it up at release.

Thanks for the info OP.

That should be easy enough to do on BD, shouldn't it?

This will be mine.

Anyone else fear the movie will look really bad on blu - in terms of the CGI?

I know I can see a difference when I watched it on tv a while back. You can really make out all the special effects scenes and such. Blu will only enhance that. Scares me to think about what it will look like

I think GB had better special effects then just about any movie from that time period... so I'm gonna have to say no way.

Ghostbusters was made in 1984, before CGI even existed. All of its effects were done the old fashioned way. It looked great on the big screen and I expect it to look great on BD.

I wonder if we're getting 1 and 2 together because of the high MSRP.

Remember the release that's supposedly coming overseas (Germany?)

I think ALL the leaked artwork had 1 and 2. None of them just showed 1 alone. I'm hoping that's correct.

Yeah but come on it's Blu-Ray

You mean to tell me you will leave some of your fav films just because you have to double dip.

That's debatable. While true it never lived up to it's predecessor there's no need to say it's the worst movie ever made.

I'm with you on that one. I think I'd buy it just for Bill Murray's interaction with the baby alone.

Nobody is forcing you to buy it... unless it's included with the first.

Of course not. But if you lower the suggested list price to something a little more reasonable, then you're looking at an amazon price that's something more in line with a standard def DVD. Amazon will probably have it from anywhere between 24 and 29 dollars. Lower the SLP and you're looking at 17 to 20 bucks on the site. That's all I'm saying.

Still don't matter. I can't wait for this one to come out.
