Got an email today from Technicolor asking for proof of purchase and promising an exchange in return.

The claim was accepted, I got an email today. A new disc will be sent to me. I will not have to send in the old disc. If this works like promised, it is very good service. A pity, that you first have to find out who to contact.

Sent an email last night about my faulty disc, got a reply today saying a replacement disc will be sent 1st class within 24 hours. Nice!

Did you guys give proof of purchase? I presume you did.

I dont have proof of purchase so i guess i have to wait for them to send me the freepost option. No doubt this will take longer

If you bought online send them a print screen of your emal confirmation. That's what I did.

Or if you have deleted the mail, a print screen of the order summary on the website of the retailer. That is what I did

They finally sent me an email. As I dont have proof of purchase they are sending me a free post addressed envolope. So all I have to do is send my faulty disc back to them and I will get a repalcment.

Update: I just hope the replacment disc they send back is scratched on the back!

Got my replacement disc today. Only took two days! Excellent.

I recieved my replacment disc today. It's nice to have a fully working blu ray disc!

And the disc came in a dvd/cd slip which is the most important thing. You dont want any scratches on it

They certainly are. They emailed me yesterday to say they had posted the film. And it took two days to come.

I have also noticed that quite a few major shops have now put the godfather bluray price up a bit! It was around 17.99, its now selling for about 24.99. ie play.com

But HMV are still selling it for 17.99 and amazon 17.98 - not sure if its the faulty disc batch. It probally is. But its worth getting with the disc replacment scheme at hand.

Hey guys, just received my copy today with the ref BSP2032 and the barcode reference 5 051368 203232 . So I was a little scared when I've tried The Godfather part II but it seems that I have no problem around 1:40:00 so, can I assume that I won't have any problem with the movie ? (don't have the time to watch it this week)

I bought the set from HMV last week for £17.99 with the same batch number that has a faulty disc 2 and it plays fine.

Good, mine came from amazon.co.uk.

I guess we can assume they won't change the batch number but the problem is solved.

Yup, just got mine from amazon.co.uk too with that batch number and everything is fine, no glitch.
