BTW, I skimmed the latest BB flyer online and don't see this (or any other [Disney]) Steelbooks listed for sale. Receipt reads "Reg $34.99 15.00 Sale Disc" and lower price has asterisk next to it that (per the bottom of the receipt) "indicates discount price." Lucky me, as I'd been procrastinating over the price. Perhaps this is a permanent price reduction.

It's a temp. special going on for the PoTC series. All editions are $15 off. Deal expires on 7/3 from what I saw.

I'm looking at my For Your Eyes Only and TCOtBP Steelbooks. It wasn't as easy as I hoped to be mindful of any damage to the tin and remove the plastic. Although the interior plastic mold is one piece, the pretty metal exterior is three separate pieces. The spine appears to be a metal strip attached to the plastic that looks like it might be difficult to remove without bending. Even if one was to successfully remove it, there's the issue of affixing it to the "new"/preferred plastic interior.

Any tips on this if you've successfully switched cases would be appreciated.

The short answer to swap the spines: you have to boil 'em!

Oh, and there's been a thread in the Movie Deals Section about the POTC SteelBooks ringing up $19.99 since June 13th: https://forum.blu-ray.com/movie-tv-d...-best-buy.html A Bug's Life was on sale also for $24.99, but I haven't check to see if it is still going for that now.

I think I'll use some spare cases I have for other media rather than the boiling option.

Right on through recent months, I've continued to see at least one or two of these titles at most of the Best Buys I browse.

It definitely is YMMV. I was at four Best Buys over the weekend (don't judge me!

) and none had them. One of these stores was the biggest in the state and carried the most inventory, especially niche and OOP titles.

It's getting harder to find these POTC steelbooks, well all Disneys steelbook for that matter, just glad that i picked up a few when i can find it unexpectedly
