Hopefully RFOM:3 they go back to the format for 1, two was so disappointing IMOP

Lets hope they can bring KZ3 out quicker then two

To me, that'd be a little too close in terms of releasing two of PS3's premier FPS's. If one were to be released in the winter of 2010, I would hope Sony would be smart enough to wait to release KZ3 until around at least mid-2011.

I loved 1 for the fact that it was the first game in awhile that let you keep all you're weapons so if you needed a sniper you pulled it out, this pick and choose stuff they went to for 2 I just couldn't stand. I'm still only to the forest part (but thats partly because I wiped my HD and lost my save).

That's highly doubtful, if you go by the developers' comments on pushing their engine further for the next version. Add that with the knowledge that deferred engines (POST-processing), this gen, doesn't lend itself well to 60fps. Yeah with the internal memory of all systems being so low the idea that they could enhance graphics, in game numbers of players, and out-put resolution (1080p) and then have it at 60fps, it just isn't going to happen right now.

But that doesn't mean they can't make a beast follow-up.

But that's exactly how R2 and KZ2 were. R2 released in 11/4/08 and KZ2 released 2/25/09. I'm just saying we'll probably see something similar for the sequels.

You're probably right, but I would hope Sony realizes that this creates competition between the two games. I played R2 a lot until KZ2, and when KZ2 finally released I played that a lot as well. But, I rarely went back to play R2. If things were spaced out more evenly, I think it would be more beneficial to Sony is all.

Yes, the actor is being replaced. It has been reported on several occasions. In fact, Sucker Punch put out a flier mentioning that they were looking for a new voice actor for Cole, which is what started all the buzz for Infamous 2.

One thing that would be awesome for is if they allow you to play the game in which you choose to start the game as good or evil based on how you finished the first one.

I'm hoping Killzone 3 is set in jungles, swamps, forests, alient scenery, etc.. Lots of lush environments instead of drab buildings (not knocking KZ2, it is gorgeous and I played it to the end).

If anything Killzone 3 would be given the blockbuster Holiday release slot given how well the title has done compared to Resistance 2.

I'm not sure which is going to get it as Resistance still has a larger built in fanbase due to R:FoM, but a lot of people were soured by the single player experience on R2 and it might not be good for a third instalment unless Insomniac can show fans they are returning to the roots of the series (weapon wheel etc...).

Infamous 2 isn't by any means confirmed as SP next title, would be sweet though...

When people refer going back to part 1 are they referring to only the weapon wheel or something else?

Aside from the lack of a weapon wheel why was there so much animosity towards resistance 2?

I loved it. My only real complaint was that they went a little too sci-fi for this one as opposed to the call of duty meets sci-fi element from the first one.

One problem I had with it was the same problem I had with Halo 2 in that they took a relatively straight forward story and attempted to make it much bigger and added many unnecessary elements.

I also felt both games were too short and didnt have a satisfactory ending.

Nevertheless, word is that Insomniac listened to many of the complaints from Resistance 2, so hopefully they can deliver a great conclusion to the series.
