Gaming came from systems like the Atari, where Pong was the best game in the world... two sticks on either side of the screen trying to keep a pixel going back and forth from 'scoring' on your side.

Games are supposed to be fun, now, to me, killing a hooker to get your money back isn't fun... does it make me less of a gamer? If you're high on Doritos and Mountain Dew probably, but not to anyone that really matters {which is the personal perspective btw}

Oh come on now man, if killing hookers isn't fun, what is?

Yeah I like the Wii a lot. If you have kids and friends, it's infinitely more fun.

I guess I'm in the minority thinking that the best game ever made for the current consoles is Flower. I think that really breaks down what gaming can be and where it can go.

For the previous gen the best game for me was SOTC. It broke down all and got rid of all the useless additions in games and let you figure everything out.

The main reason I would recommend a Wii is for Warioware. That game is just pure madness.

I LOVE my PS3. It only does EVERYTHING.

Everyone else I know has a Wii though. I was at a friends house and my kids enjoyed the Wii alot.

I've had various systems. I imagine any or all of them can be fun.

At my best buy all the different systems are setup and play-able so you can demo them. (They don't still have X-boxes setup because those break and crash and catch on fire and stuff.)

I don't play it much with the kids and thus don't really play it much at all. There are currently no games I'm particularly interested in on the console (outside of Mario).
Yeah I didn't fully pay for it so in some way I don't mind. But if I could sell it, I would. I know I won't end up getting an Xbox because I've considered it for a while now because for the most part any of the games I'd get on Xbox are on PS3 too. So I'd have very few games so it could be a waste of money that I could have spent on something else. I'd rather get speakers for my TV than another console.

I think killing hookers to get my money back is fun in a game (sure it happens in real life also).....guess im the minority. But i like the more life like games like that.

I've been a PC / Console gamer since the PSOne was first released and have since owned pretty much every "major" console, including Sega's "Dreamcast". Right now, as far as consoles go, i own an XBOX 360, a PS2 and a PS3. The wife owns an XBOX 360 and a Wii. We're both gaming veterans but we like totally different things, so we play different consoles. Besides that, i upgrade / build a new PC every 2-3 years so i'm always playing the latest 'n greatest on PC as well.

For console gaming, i pretty much exclusively use my XBOX 360. Simply because the selection of quality games is bigger and better than the PS3's, and i love XBOX Live. Granted, PSN is free but i've always prefered XBL. I always say, if you want a good console for gaming, and gaming only, go for the 360.

However, i bought my PS3 for MGS4 when the game was first released, and MGS4 has been the only game i owned until i purchased the GoW Collection. There really isn't any other game i find interesting enough to spend my money on and if it's a multi-platform game i usually buy it for XBOX 360 or PC. Of course i did Pre-Order the GoWIII Ultimate Edition

I can't stand the Wii at all, but my wife loves it. After being treated with HD graphics for so long, i just can't sit there and play SD games anymore. I bought her a Panasonic VIERA X1 TC-L26X1 and a Nintendo Wii Component cable, which improved the PQ tremendously, but still i can't get into it. However, i have a lot of fun watching her play by herself or with family / friends. The Wii is a true Nintendo "Party Console", and it stays true to what Nintendo does best. Surely if you have a wife and kids, the Wii is the way to go.

All three are great (Wii, PS3, 360) and I do agree that the PS3 and 360 are probably more for the people who have been gamers for years, the Wii has the best gaming setup for a party IMO. No matter which you choose, you will not be disappointed.
