Lip-Sync problems

Which device is doing all the audio processing? You might want to bitstream the audio from the blu-ray player to see if it makes any difference. If you have it set to bitstream, try setting to output PCM and see if that fixes it.

Most of the time, its the processing your DVD player, Receiver or TV are doing. Which is why most receivers have a built in A/V sync option. Very handy.

I did some more investigating.

The only way I can get things in sync is to use the internal television speakers (which are horrible) and turn the motion smoothing on (which I refuse to do, because I don't want everything to look like a soap opera)

It turns out that the sync is off on all my blu-ray disks. There are two problems -
1) The Energy Powerbar Elite is adding delay.
2) Without the Motion Smoothing on, the video is not delayed enough

Not a happy camper. For almost $2K I expect decent sync.

Having lip sync problem if anyone can help, its appreciated.

Got a new TV a few months ago and had it professionally calibrated. No issues with lip sync and all was good.

Got a PS4 a few weeks ago and notice a lip sync issue while using the PS4. TV is fine.

How do you calibrate lip sync for just the ps4? do i need to go into my receiver settings with my ps4 on and do that? or is that going to mess with the TV settings too?

I hear ya, was hoping it might be a late night quick fix. Post if you find out anything new or what's up, curious myself. It's something I'll have to be checking out soon myself.

Ooo! That looks like your problem isn't the sound, it's the picture. Try changing your settings from 1080p to 1080i and I bet the sync problem goes away. Also the interlacing won't make the motion all floaty. You won't be able to see the difference.
