Default An A/V lip sync issue

OK, I have a PS3 and a Sony STR-DA3200ES receiver. Whenever I'm using the PS3 I have to change the A/V sync setting on the receiver to around 90ms in order to get the sync right, which is fine EXCEPT when it's receiving PCM signals, then it doesn't work (the manual confirms that it won't do it). This really infuriates me when I want to watch something with lossless or Dolby TrueHD audio because the delay is seriously annoying.

Is there any way of sorting this out? It didn't bother me much initially but now I'm getting more and more Blu-rays and it bugs me that I can't enjoy the quality audio without the delay! Sorry for the newb question...
