Define necessary. Just because a film is shot in 3-D doesn't mean it's necessary, it just means it was shot in 3-D. My point, as well as many others, is that imo 3-D doesn't enhance a movie, unless it's one like Avatar. It's true that "a lot of people can be wrong," but there's no right or wrong here--just preference.

Obviously we haven't seen enough of the movie, but that doesn't matter. Precedent is what matters and so far it's shown me that 3-D detracts from a film and is no more than a gimmick. This is my opinion and I'm certainly not alone in it. If I see the film in theaters, or Inception, I'll do so in 2-D. I have free passes to Toy Story 3 and I'm choosing to see it in 2-D as well.

haha your logic is flawed and you misunderstood what I was saying, but it's all good. And I never said that everyone should hate 3D and dislike it like myself, I simply said I don't like it and don't consider it necessary. If you like it, good for you.
