AD's customer service is very good though so if you should have an amp failure you'll be taken care of.
actually I believe that the amp issues have been resolved and none of the new subs going out have issues. I have no idea how good a BIC sub compares, but given the performance that I get from my eD, I can say that it was seriously one of the best investments I could have made.

You wont like it, you will LOVE IT. Polk subs, the PSW line, is pretty much not good at all. The eD is gonna blow your mind once you have it setup and calibrated. I can tell you that I have mine about 1/4 of the way up on the volume/gain, and its is loud and powerful. And as a matter of fact, I am rocking The Pacific for the 3rd time tonight.

Dont get fustrated with the wait, it takes several weeks to get it, but it is a great sub.

Erict said that the eD and the SVS are both great ones, well I can say that the Hsu and eD are great subs. So you definetly picked 3 of the best you could for your price range, and for the $ the A2-300 is a hard deal to beat.

Congrats.

Congrats!!!! I'm sure your going to love it and also love them quintet's in the bedroom when you upgrade your main theater room.

Pretty much what I did, everytime I upgrade my main theater I would/could move that stuff into the bedroom.

I started out with a HTiB, but you started out with the quintet III's and I love those puppies.

Yes. The backlog right now is about 6 ~ 8 weeks. Production cycle is about 3 weeks, so figure 3 ~ 5 weeks before they even start to build it (lots and lots of people ahead of you right now, unfortunately).

Just curious but what do you mean when you say that your Quintets can outplay your Polk sub?

Congratulations on your subwoofer purchase. I own an A2-300 and it's pretty spiffy. I don't even have it cranked up (11 o'clock on the volume knob) and it still kicks.

Well my Quintets keep their clarity and i tried to have my sub match its clearity at the same volume and all i got was distortion, especially movies like transformers which has allot of LFE

Ah, I know what you mean. At my normal listening volume (not loud at all) my PSW10 was great. But I could tell that when I cranked up the volume and for some movies like Transformers, it just couldn't go as low as I wanted it to.

I still love it, though. It will always be my first subwoofer that got me into Home Theater.

I'm actually considering pairing it up with my A2-300 one of these days.

Yea, man. It can go low in Transformers. Everyone raves about Ironhide's flip with his cannons. That was the first scene I checked out when I first got my hands on the A2-300. I wanted to see what all the hub-bub was all about. I had no idea I was missing out on those low frequencies. It is pretty cool.

Edit: I just realized you may have been facetious with your post... heh. Then the joke's on me!

It will go as low as the sound track will allow it or as low as the sub can go . Look & see what the low Hz rating is on the eD sub . My 15" will go as low as 18 Hz & my 10" will go as low as 22 Hz , Not sure how low the eD will go .

With my luck you will have set-up your sub before I do and I bought mine a few months ago.

Transformers was produced for the A2-300. Seriously though, it gets pretty ridiculously low and loud. So low that it shakes your clothes and certain scenes give you a feeling of getting pummeled by shock waves of explosions, flips, and rotary blades. It's hard to imagine but no exaggeration is necessary. You'll see for yourself.
