Walmart, Target, and of course Amazon.com are also in the top five (forget the last one to round it off). I would love to see some deals at Target, but my walmart has never had a good selection (10 titles max)

It's POSSIBLE walmart, T, Amazon are also offering this, just that we haven't received advanced notice yet.

Don't know how long this is good for, but here's a link to Fry's Buy One/Get One Free offer (or maybe it's a half price offer):

Planet Earth is great. It is an easy watching/easy showcase piece. Just pop it on when people are around, and turn off the sound. Invariably they will end up being drawn into it and asking for it to be turned up. It really is some amazing work. I have the BBC version, and highly enjoy it.

I think that the honest to God truth idea behind all of these "Buy 1 Get 1 Free" deals is simply that Blu-ray has lost the war internally and is now desperately attempting to get as many pennies back from their production investment as humanly possible. What other reason could there be for such a high premium/high ticket item selling at such drastically low prices? None what-so-ever. The BDA are salvaging what they can from their impeccably bad taste in business making decisions. 100+ companies are trying to protect themselves from economic fallout. It's that simple!

Or, at least that's what the HD DVD camp members will be trying to tell people as they walk through retail outlets all across North America this coming week! LOL. Did I have you all going??? Sorry. I couldn't resist putting myself into the illogical frame of mind that we all know produces HD DVD FUD.

My guess is when a wholesaler offers a price, the price has to be passed to the consumer to get the wholesale break. I guarantee Sony provided this break to all, butsome reacted differntly than others. For example CC, all they do was a 2 get 1 sale(15.00each) and Best buy with the same. Fry's just probably threw in the idea to boost traffic through their site and do a 9.99 sale, making the least amount of money per disc, but probably making more money in the long run because they actually sold all their inventory whereas Best Buy/CC made money, but are still sitting on inventory from that sale.

Its the old would you rather make 3 nickels or one dime saying. Thats what made Wal-Mart so profitable

Hey all, Target is having the BOGO free sale also this sunday for Disney Blus. I also heard from a fry's worker that Fry's is also having a BOGO sale this sunday too with Disney Blus. Circuit City however does not have one. Very curious, looks to be a sponsored Disney sale or something, perhaps to give Transformers some competition.

With all these sales going on this week by next week Transformers won't even show on the radar.I think thats what sony and disney is doing pushing blu out there in away getting back at PARAMOUNT for screwing them.

Seems like these sales should make it easier to talk some PS3 owners who haven't bought Blu-ray movies into getting some.

As far as more extreme HD DVD supporters, I won't be surprised if somebody who claims that HD DVD is better because consumers pay less for HD DVDs also claims that the BOGO sales are the reason Blu-ray is ahead by Nielsen count. Of course, the sales are part of what determines what people pay, and that applies to both sides.

Apparently, CC is having a B1G1 sale, with more titles than BB or Target.
