I could quote the one critic who summed up the one intangible S2 complaint best, but I'd never do it justice:

You can't take that guys reviews as gospel. He doesn't like any movie. I think he is just a guy who likes to complain.

I'm probably the biggest Spiderman fan here. How can I say that? I started reading and collecting the comics as a kid starting from about #48 of the ORIGINAL Amazing Spiderman.

From my perspective, these movies are great. Yes they are flawed, but pure entertainment. I could not believe my eyes when I saw the first movie. Spiderman off the comic book pages and on-screen! Wow! Cool! I went to see it twice in the theaters. Once by myself, once with the family. never mind that the wed-shooters were not man-made...an improvement in my opinion and that Gwen Stacey was not in the picture as Peter's love interest.

The second film built on the first and it was great to see Doc Ock in the flesh so to speak. Loved it.

The third film was also very good....what I didn't like was three things....they didn't have time to develop the Sandman character.....Venom was not in the film long enough especially with all the build-up.....and I could have done without the bar scene. Overlooking that, I really liked it.

For those fans who want more Venom, he can easily be brought back in a 4th film...this is the comics remember.....but what I would really like to see is Dr. Connors come into the picture as the Lizard......I thought for sure they would do that in the third installment, but they didn't.

As to the actor........I don't care what anybody says (because all that matters is what I think anyway ).....Toby Maquire is the perfect Peter Parker.....nerdy....a bit goofy...just the regular joe....with high aspirations. Just like in the comic book.

Sorry for the long post......

You have issues if that scene killed the movie for you. I guess you don't like ANY action of sci-fi movies then, ya know, since there are so many things that happen that aren't realistic.

IT'S A COMIC BOOK MOVIE! Harry Osborn is flying around at 65 mph on a snow board, while doing loops and fighting a guy swinging around on webs in NYC. And you're complaining about a beam going through a skyscraper?

My order of preference for content: 1,3,2...

BTW, I much prefer a Sandman over a Dr Oct!
