I jumped on Major Dundee and I have to get this, but I'm trying to hold off to purchase it at the same time as Equus, Broadway Danny Rose, Used Cars and Wild At Heart.

I was going to Day 1 blind buy this. And I still want it. But suddenly I'm not feeling the $29.95 price. Is there any chance of a sale where TT cuts the price a bit? I've never paid attention to whether a TT title goes on sale (unless it's clearance, a LONG time away).

TT doesn't have any sales unfortunately. The closest thing to a sale SAE/TT offers is the occasional 10% off whatever titles you have in your wishlist. You have to sign up for email alerts on SAE's webpage in order to get that promo code. I believe SAE does this mini-promotion about 3 times a year.

If you really want to save some money on this then your best bet is to pick up one of the European releases. The problem with that is most of those are region B locked (I think the French version has the worst PQ of them all based on reviews) and the TT version has the most extras out of any of them.

Since they all essentially are using the same transfer (including the TT version), you have a region free player and don't care about extras your probably better getting one of the European releases.

Bluray.com is basically RFD. When I signed up I thought it was about enjoying blurays, but people only come out of the woodwork to comment in the deal threads. They then disappear until the next deal, that's not my idea of a bluray community. I also dislike when people complain about pricing in almost every thread, there should be a thread just for price complaints if it's that important.

That's the internet disease. It's why trolling for hits has replaced journalism, and possibly communication, in our society. People have an instinct to find what's wrong, point it out, and seek consensus. So the more outrage to be found around anything, the more discussion it invites. On this forum that means that threads on releases with nothing to complain about, sink like rocks. But if you want to improve the quality of discussion here or anywhere, just write well about what you like, even if it gets ignored.

Just watched this via a DVR recording and it's safe to say that it will soon be purchased.

I'm honestly somewhat surprised this is amongst the sellouts. For instance I had always presumed The Driver to be considerably more popular, and yet ample copies of that still languish in the Screen Archives warehouse. I guess that was just a faulty perception.

Is there anyone in the U.K still waiting on their copy? I ordered mine on July 11th and they dispatched on the 14th, but I still waiting... I'm a little concerned to say the least.

Looks like this is getting reissued in 2016.

I've sort of put an self imposed embargo on TT releases except for the annual sale they have but I'll definitely pounce on the re-release of Alfredo Garcia. I really have been enjoying the extras on a lot of the Sam Peckinpah Blu-ray releases and AG is one of my favorites. It really is a dirty masterpiece.

They are really displaying incredible integrity with these "Limited Editions," aren't they?

In no way is something being more available a bad thing. At all.

Anyone know why I got $32 on Ebay for this, plus shipping? I've sold out of print TT discs for less than that. Really strange, not that I am complaining.

I replaced it with the stunning Arrow Video version.

Depends on what those other OOP Twilight Time discs were I guess.

I know Journey to the Center of the Earth only got like $22 long after it went OOP. That's an older movie though. I'm sure it depends on the title, it's just odd this sold for more than you can get it on TT's site. Oh well!

Need to sell Vampires and First Men in the Moon as well, again because of UK editions.

I've flipped Criterions on eBay for well over $40 USD while they were still available on SAE. Enemy Mine was one. Alfredo Garcia has way more cult appeal than Journey I think too.

Anyone have any comparisons between the Twilight Time and Arrow releases? Which one you like more/believe is superior?
