Higher gas prices mean less money for Blu-rays.
Could be the devaluation of the U.S. currency, worldwide.

Maybe we should be looking at the urban SUV drivers, who don't need such a vehicle in the city. Maybe governments need to impose a special tax on these vehicles, if they're not being used for business purposes. I get sick of people saying, "I drive one for protection, because of all of the unsafe drivers. Who is going to protect me from them? The SUV has contributed more to the over use of fuel, than any other vehicle being sold today.

I use my Trooper for off road and my business which requires me to have a larger vehicle. I live in a rural area. The second one is my wife's we just got it this past summer. My kids are getting bigger and it was time to get something for her to drive my crumb crunchers and their friends around.

I am not part of the problem please see my previous message as to what is the problem. There is enough oil to last us another 1000 years if not more but the Chicoms are sucking the oil up faster than it can be pumped out of the ground.

Especially when a lot of the fatal accidents I've seen in the news lately have been destroyed SUVs.

Minivan. Otherwise SUVs have no more seating room than a midsized sedan.

They are the ones raising your prices.
I am tired of hearing this crap. It has NOTHING to do with this and is a load of bull sh*t. You have been brain washed!

We have 1 choice for fuel for our vehicles. Gas. NO OTHER CHOICES! You seriously thing SUV's, Trucks and the like have ANY impact on how high our prices go? Perhaps SOMEONE needs a clue on economics and the fact that our government is a piss poor machine at best.

Besides the fact that us AMERICANS have NO OTHER CHOICES in what FUEL TO USE - why should people like you criticize other people for driving larger vehicles that use more gas? Why should YOU chastise them for having a vehicle that has no alternative fuel methods? Perhaps your attention should be turned to all the luxury vehicles on the road that burn far more fuel.. BMW, Mercedes, Porsche - etc etc.. racing vehicles that burn up fuel. There are so many things OTHER THAN that SUV wasting gas that it's insane.

If you want to blame someone - blame yourself. Blame the car manufacturers for NOT changing their ways. Blame them for NOT giving us an alternative. Blame the Government for their piss poor handling in this area. Blame BIG OIL for getting even more greedy. Blame whomever you want.

The fact of the matter is - pointing your finger a joe blow suv driver is wrong. He has no choice in the matter. Could he drive a smaller vehicle? Sure. Would that save gas? Yeah. Is it his choice? Yup. Does it drive up gas prices? Nope. Is there another choice? Nope.

So please, spread your ignorance else where. Perhaps you drive a HYBRID - don't get me started on those POS cars. Another bandaid made to look like a fix. A joke at best. Do you recycle? How much water do you waste? Are you fixed?

The real answer to this problem? Enough BS of pointing the finger and placing the blame on everyone else but yourself. Do something about it. Make something happen. Remember, were the consumers. Or has everyone in America lost their ball sack?

I'm done

Assinine. Why would you even make a comment like that? You wonder why we have stupid laws now and the fact that people sue people over the dumbest sh*t. Is it your money that bought that car? Does it hurt you? Who are you to say they don't NEED that car?

It's all the vehicles in the world as a whole. It's the poor fuel economy in this country that's part of the problem. It's not the cars people choose. They have no choice. Where do you stick a family of 5 or 6? In a prius? An accord? No thanks.

Everyone needs to get off the SUV kick. Go change a light bulb or something. Recycle. Do you recycle? Do you use solar energy? Do you car pool?

Ugh!

No, I don't own one.

How about a Van? Or hey, how about not having 5 or 6 kids!!! Do Van's not get better gas milage than the Expedition on 26's or lifted with the knoby tires, that will never see anything but the same pavement a van would? An have just as much if not more seating, and storage room. And alot of them look damn nice now a days.

I would if most people that bought them had legit reason to own them, and not for the reason of some 110 pound soccer mom feeling safer all high up in the driver's seat of a suburban.

It would be refreshing to see a post from you that:

1) didn't have you trying to slam someone
2) had something of susbtance
3) something actually BD related
4) wasn't another sad attempt at attention.
5) wasn't argumentative.

I think people have big ass lifted trucks with huge exhaust pipes (that lowers backpessure within the exhaust system thus lowering low end torque and gas mileage)

the reason car companies don't change is because selfish ignorant and stupid people don't care or don't know the affect they have and keep buying the h2s and other monstrocities.

personally I bought the car I drive off a few things. here they are in order.

fuel economy/safety (equal value)
aesthetics
price

my electricity bill floats around $40 a month average and I recycle at home as well as help design new ways to reuse materials at work. and i'm considered (uneducated) because I have no college degree. imagine what people considered ''smart'' could do.

personally I think every suv should be hollowed out to make homeless shelters.

and if you have a ''my penis is so small I need a lifted F-350 to show how cool I am'' truck, expect a window full of pennies if you ride my ass.

p.s. - drinkmore, calm down man. I have roadrage, but internetforumrage is slightly less tolerable.

I am calm

I have road rage when it comes to idiots. Forumrage is much more difficult to control sometimes. I agree with most of what you say. I think hummers are a joke. I also think lifted 12 feet f150's are a joke. I see no practical purpose to either one.

Notice how it's the "uneducated" that are the most "educated" when it comes to things.

Dude, it's simple supply & demand, one of the very basic elements of economics. I see 20 something women, with NO kids, driving these monsters around. It's like an extension of their closet or something. How many guys have pickups just because they think they need one? Drive on any highway and you'll see them shiny and unused. Pickups who actually owned by people use their pickups for what they're meant for usually look beat to hell.

Compare the MPG of a Yukon or a Tahoe to a Honda Odyssey or any other minivan that has lots of cargo/passenger space. There's no comparison. I'm paying more out of pocket because of the selfishness of others. Not to mention these vehicles cost $30-$50k anyway! If I need something hauled, I'll pay the $75-$100 for delivery or one day truck rental rather than the *thousands* more over the course of a year in fuel.

Yup, hit it right there, CHINA. But mostly the great OPEC. I can't wait till the suppose Oil shale reserve we have is actually cost effective to mine so we cant stop importing oil and say **** to everyone else that likes to **** us.

Look at Europe, hardly any SUVs or pickups. Perhaps European pricing will get these idiots who buy the biggest monster on the lot to get a clue.
Europe uses mostly Diesel not gas.

Pretty depressing when I hear the news folks say how likely it is we'll see $4 a gallon for the lowest end gas by next summer.

The potential upside to a weaker dollar is that U.S. exports become cheaper. So foreign markets, which in many cases already are leaning strongly Blu, could really start producing for the format.

Even with higher energy prices, energy costs as a fraction of GDP are significantly below historical highs.

Although I don't think I would put it that way. I do agree with you about the Lack of Options. It would be nice to have another Fuel source other than Gas.

The oil companies don't care, they're reporting record high profits.

To answer some of your questions
Yes I recycle.
I don't waste much water.
I don't have solar power, but looking into it.

That's just plain ignorant. You don't think the gas guzzlers you are driving now have nothing to do with higher gas prices? Good lord.
