Before I had much idea which would sell better on DVD I mentioned that I think one good thing to look at is how the high def disc does as a percentage of the DVD for that particular title. Based on Paramount's numbers I figured they hit about 2.2% of the DVD the first week. But I'm also not sure of their numbers given that they claimed over twice the sales that the Nielsen/Videoscan first alert numbers said.

I wonder if sony would include 40gb ps3 w/ spidey 3 blu ray sales numbers, or is it just the BD's alone?

They should not count PS3 included copies as they were give-aways.

No one considers Talladega Nights the best selling Blu Ray of all time do they?
