What does he think it is? Does he think it is a DVD, or that it is a Blu-ray disc, but not an official one? He doesn't happen to be using a PS3 is he? Just wondering, because he could look at the bitrate meter. I'm pretty sure the real release would average 12Mbps or higher for video (I haven't looked up the video size for that one, but I would be surprised if 300 averaged lower than that). Also, the Blu-ray release has both PCM and TrueHD according to highdefdigest.

Now that boils my blood because I personally purchase this blu-ray disc directly from amazon. Hes telling me some BS about the graphics not being on par with the version he rented or something like that and the graphic on the disc itself is kind of faded compare to the one he rented at blockbuster.

Lastly, he told me that every authentic blu-ray movie should have a code on the back of the disc where the player reads (the scratch resistant coating side). The code should start something like BVS-(numbers). Is that true? I am looking at my copy of 300 that I personally purchased from Best buy and it does not have this code he was talking about.

Heres the problem, he said the version he rented from blockbuster had it, but the disc I sold him did not have that code and every blu-ray disc should have it. Well I looked at my copy and it did not have that code. If anyone knows more about this, can you please chime in because I am really PO and confused.
So what does he want? refund? and everyone is correct bootlegs (if any) would probably be so easy to spot right now, maybe in a year or two once blu becomes like dvd.

Handle it in a very calm manner..... Just tell him quite calmly.... "Excuse me mister Nutball, try to play it in a regular DVD player, it won't work b/c it's a Blu-Ray disc, from a reputable retailer..... now, while watching this on your Blu-Ray player, Simply Go-F yourself..... have a nice day"

^ LOL!

Well thanks for all the replies. I just wanted to know if there were actually bootlegs of blu-rays around. I'll handle this very carefully and probably will just return his money.
