Hi
I've Just Bought The Terminator On Blu Ray Of Someone On E-Bay & It Arrived This Morning.
The Thing Is I'm Pretty Sure It's A Copy But Not Really Sure On How To Be 100% Sure.
It's The Canadian Release So Has French Writing On It But The Thing Is The Cover Seems To Be Fake, A Real Bad Printed Version.
Checked The Disc And It Seems Fine, The Pop Up Menu Is They But They Is Now MGM Logo Or FBI Warning When It Starts. The Menu Just Comes Straight On.
Also Inside The Case Was A Card Telling You If You Require Updates Etc To Go The Website But It Says Go To www.foxbluray.com Wouldn't It Be Sony Or MGM.
If Anyone Can Help Me It Would Be Helpful.

Fox distribute MGM titles, so at least that part is right.

seems ok I saw some early release with bad cover prints so might be just that.. if the pop-up menu is there usually it's ok...

What colour is the disc? Ie is it purple or silver (almost see through)

Iam saying its a copy which is Illegal
we can tell the difference if the disc is pale blue if u see against the light you should almost see thru
If the disc is brownish metalics color that means somebody made a burn of the original

nah, its costs more to buy blanks and resale it than to get an original. If it plays in the dvd player its a fake, otherwise its legit

I hate those damn canadian releases. The guy i usually buy off on ebay never mentions that theyre candian.

Its a legitimate 100% genuine product.

Here it is one more time...

The cover is going to say Sony because Sony was able to release three films on Blu-ray Disc for MGM before Fox took over distribution for MGM.

So, Fox did not bother to redo the cover art to match their titles. They kept them as is since it was easier. They did create a new lenticular slip cover to go over The Terminator recently but the product underneath is going to look like a Sony release.

and what is the problem with canadian releases?

The only canadian releases that suck are from "Alliance" since they don't bother added menu's or special features.. but I like them since i hate skiiping thru the menu and never touch the special features
