How dare you besmirch the fantastic voiceover work on Xenoblade 2 ![]() ![]() Some of it really is pretty rough, particularly Rex and Malos, but I actually thought the rest of the main cast does at least solid with a couple of standouts in Jin and Pyra. Now the sound mixing is atrocious at times with the dialog so low compared to the music in cutscenes; result of its rush development I suppose. |

My only major complaint about the dub for Xenoblade 2 is Pyra. Her voice actress is so bad. It doesn't sound like she's putting in any effort and sounds so bored and plain. It's a shame because the character has such a nice design and you'd think they'd have went with someone who had a bit more energy in their voice. Maybe she gets better later in the game? Keep in mind I'm only 4 hours in but her voice is the first thing I noticed lol. |

![]() But me and my buddy who both played the game thought she was the heart and soul of the game and did a great job. The guy who plays Rex needed some better direction, definitely a big drop from Shulk. |

speaking of dubs, I've been playing Jrpgs with Japanese audio ever since it became the norm to include them in international releases |

The story is so well done & interesting that I didn’t mind it all, I wanted to know more. I was playing a couple of other things on the Switch too & put them all aside for Triangle Strategy. I didn’t even finish the demo, I liked what I played so much I immediately went to my nearest GameStop to pick up a copy.

As for the game, like you, I didn't even finish the demo. I'll be picking this up at some point, as I'm still playing Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition, and I want to play Fire Emblem: Three Houses before this. |

Which doesn’t mean the English language track was particularly good but certainly the Japanese track isn’t anything great either, it’s just easier to make excuses for.. I’ve seen even pretty obviously excellent voice acting like Dragon Quest XI’s dismissed. |

It's a great game. I was hesitant at first and I'm glad I went for it. I was just starting a second playthrough before Xenoblade 3 came out in July. Some day I'll get back to that. I want to play in a completely opposite way of how I did the first time around, making all different choices and whatnot when it comes to decisions throughout the game.

This basically never went on sale so I was finally able to fit it into my schedule recently thanks to Best Buy’s B2G1 sale. I’m about six hours in on chapter 4 I think.
[Show spoiler] . I’m very much enjoying it but man those who said its exposition heavy early on weren’t lying. There are a couple of the characters not in the demo who’s performances are rough but the major players are fine at least. Though I can only see Camuravi from Xenoblade 3 when Serenoa speaks.

On chapter 9 now and my enjoyment is waning. The story is interesting to me still but its presentation is just so clunky. Click scene, back to map, click scene, back to map, three side scenes, back to map each time. Of my 13 hours I feel like only two hours have been spent actually playing and the rest is sitting listening to dialog. The scales of conviction sequences have also felt so forced each time, especially when a character says Serenoa has to choose a path and no one else…then everybody EXCEPT Serenoa decides the path chosen.
