I would have to say yes, that's a safe bet that it will. You have a level 6 receiver.

CrackinHedz,

Your very good at giving people peace of mind.
I thank you sir and thank you for the info,WOW you the best
That's exactly what i wanted or needed to read.

I really don't care if my reciever says DTS Master or Dolby True,Just as long as i get it and get to use my DSP modes ,AWESOME.

The truth is am still going to use my 1400 as my blu-ray(I've had no problems).

I'll use the Ps3 for games at times,Iam really not a gamer, but what the hell i'll have one.

I just needed the info ,so i know what iam getting in a PS3.
It's gonna be like having 2 Blu-rays in my system.(Iam covering my own ass)

Once in a while and i mean while i'll let my boys play games on it.
If i ever see them pausing the game without shutting off the TV there done for

So when i bitstreem the 1400 my reciever will tell me if it DTS Master or what ever.

When i set the PS3 to PCM linear my reciever will say just PCM,Right .
I will still get all the code cs but i just won`t see it on the reciever.
Iam i Right about this.

Thank you about the suggestion wireless router,I will be pick one of these up as well.

kinda shows you guys how much i know about the ps3,When i said iam your humble student,I really wasn't joking LOL
You can hit the back button on the PS3 remote to have it show the information about what audio track is playing, etc. If it is not playing the lossless track (and you know the blu has one) then you hit the triangle button to bring up your options, navigate to the musical note icon and hit the X button to cycle through the available audio tracks.

Good luck getting the wireless going on your PS3. Mine loved the Belkin N1 Vision router I had, but hates my Linksys WRT54G and refuses to connect to it at all.

Thank you i will be looking at a Belkin nI vision router(Good advise)

I though i was done but i have another question.
-So the PS3 decodes internally
-My reciever decodes internally
-Is there such a thing as one unit decoding better then the next or is decoding just decoding?

You should set your 1400 to bitstream and then PCM and let us know how it comes out. I would imagine though that a nice receiver like yours might do a better job of decoding than the PS3.

Decoding will be done identical in both player and receiver. Bit for Bit. If not, then they have no business calling it Lossless audio and using trademark names.

...but there can also be an issue of whether or not a player/receiver has any technical trouble such as LFE problems. For instance, the BD30 use to have an LFE problem. And some older model Pioneer Elite receivers had an LFE issue as well as a few Marantz receivers...and so on. Most if not all, fixed with updates.

But as far as simple decoding goes...its the same. Unpacking 1's and 0's is not an issue in player vs. receiver.

the 1400 does not decode Dts-HD MA. (unless that has been updated?) So you would need to set to Bitstream anyway.

I have not heard about the 1400 getting Dts-HD MA decoding ability, only bitstreaming ability.

Ive never used the 1400 to know how the interface works, but if you set to decoding and play Dts-HD MA track, can you hit a 'display' or 'audio' button to see what is actually being output? most players do, so I would think there is a way to verify?

maybe its time for the players page update?

NOOOOO! don't get the N1 Vision. It's a beautiful router. Set up was the easiest I have ever had. It worked beautifully...... for about a month. Apparently the lcd screen on the front creates a lot of heat which causes it to break down. You can find complaints about it all over the internet.

I replaced my Linksys WRT54G with the Vision because it all of the sudden developed a problem where none of the PC's on my network could connect to MSN, hotmail or Messenger. Like I said, the Belkin was a joy to set up. It was pure plug and play delight. It was stable as a rock.... for a month.

The first time I used my Linksys, I eventually got my PS3 to connect wirelessly by manually inputting all of my network settings (I've never had to do that with any other wireless device on my network.) This time, even that doesn't do the trick. I've always had problems with networking my PS3, even when using an ethernet connection I'd get weird DNS errors on it. I'm pretty sure it's my PS3 because I've never had any issues with other devices on my network; not even my wireless printer.

O.K,I just want to let you know i have all the firmware.

I changed the 1400 to PCM.I put the movie Shoot em Up in(7.1 DTS-HD Master)

When i hit the Audio button on the 1400 its says Eng DTS-HD Multi Ch
But i noticed my back surround were off.Like i was only getting 5.1

So i hit the info button For audio it says Eng Multi ch

I put it back to bitstreem,No more PCM on the recievers it show DTS Hd Master And my back surround came back on like it should for a 7.1 movie.

So with the info i gave you what conclusion can we come up with

Well the Linksys WRT54G is widely considered to be one of the most stable ones around, especially if you can find an older version that will allow you to swap Linksys's firmware with DD-WRT firmware. (Linksys made newer revisions that will only accept small file size firmware updates which make it difficult to impossible to swap out the firmware for homebrew.) Like I have said though, my PS3 hates it. From all of my reading though, it seems like mine is just particularly quirky and others don't seem to have the same issues as I do.

Linksys WRT54G

Belkin does make an N1 router that is not the Vision and does not have the LCD screen. I have read that it is not subject to failure like the Vision. I believe the set up on that router is similar/same as the set up on the Vision. If you aren't familiar with setting up a router, the plug and play aspect of it is wonderful.

Belkin N1

I've been using this Linksys at work for a few months and it has not required a single reset and set up was pretty simple too.

Linksys WRT54G2

You're welcome. I forgot to mention I had the Linksys for about three years before it developed that odd issue with hotmail. In researching it, I found that I was not the only one, but it was rare. It seems however that stuffing it in a closet for a couple of months fixed the issue? For now?
