From what I've read only Sony and Toshiba have implemented 120hz well, but why bother? Plasmas don't need this sort of gimmick to eliminate motion blur. Personally, I'd much rather have a faster response time on an LCD, because that is what really makes the difference when it comes to motion blur. I've noticed that a lot of larger LCD's have 8ms response times. My LG lcd has a 5ms response time and it makes a world of difference...no motion blur! On the other hand I wasn't quite satisfied with the black level and the size(42"...wanted bigger) which is why I have a Panny 50" plasma in my living room now. Its 768p and my LG is 1080p, but I can't tell a bit of difference in sharpness and the Panny has a waaaaaaay better picture, and the LG is not bad by any means. Personally, I think you can get a great LCD or plasma and be happy. If you chose LCD look for a fast response time and a solid black level. Don't even worry about the 120hz feature...its just another gimmicky feature to justify charging you much more money.

well i just bought the new 630 52'' lcd samsung with the 120hz. you may be right about the response time as this tv is a bit slower. but i guarentee that i paid less than any price on the internet or stores by 40 bucks and it is a pretty decent upgrade from my old sony sxrd. the black levels to me are fine on the 630 52. it has hdmi black level, and black corrector in certain picture modes. idk! im happy with it though. just an fyi though the 120hz looks awesome only on some movies. set to med or low. off reverts back to 60hz and set on high just really looks kind of cheap.
