The Band The Last Waltz, best concert movie ever and a great Blu!!
+1. This is the only concert Blu I've seen. It is flat out awesome, no matter the year of release. The camera angles and timing by Scorsese are impeccable. Can't go wrong with uncompressed 5.1 either.

I really enjoyed the Chicago Earth Wind and Fire blu ray. Especially the encore with both of them doing each others songs.

Steve Morse. He is playing on the "Kansas-There is Know Where Like Home" BD that comes out in a few weeks. I read that he is playing violin or viola on a few tracks, not guitar.

I am about halfway through the new Leonard Cohen-Songs From The Road Blu-ray disc. It has an excellent Dolby TrueHD 96/24 soundtrack, a legendary figure in music, and wonderful performances/musicians.

Yep, I give this one my highest remomendation!

Edit: I also appreciate the 3 lovely backup singers a great deal. They are easy on the ears and the eyes. They look beautiful, sing great, and are very tastefully added to the sound mix on this one!

Let me know if you still highly recommend it when you are completely done. This may be a definite buy.

After watching the whole thing, I can easily recommend this one. To me the highlight was probably Hallelujah. I may have to check it out again before the weekend is over!

What type of music is that Rick? I've never heard of them.

Good to hear about the Leonard Cohen BD. Haven't listened to any of his CDs in years. First introduced to him with the Natural Born Killers soundtrack, Waiting for a Miracle, The Future, after that went out to buy some of his stuff and Tower of Songs, a pretty good tribute album.

I enjoyed the Leonard Cohen very much. However I listened to it a little more attentively than I watched it (darn internet anyways). I am getting ready to watch it again right now with my full attention.

I'm about to purchase these titles and would like to get your thoughts if they are indeed worthy additions to my BD Concert collection:

Bon Jovi: Live at Madison Square Garden
Elton John: Elton 60 - Live At Madison Square Garden
Ricky Martin: Live - Black and White Tour
Queen: Rock Montreal & Live Aid
Michael Jackson: This Is It
Toto - Live in Amsterdam: 25th Anniversary
Chicago and Earth, Wind & Fire: Live at the Greek Theatre
Led Zeppelin - The Song Remains the Same
Stevie Wonder: Live at Last

Of the ones you've listed I have the Elton John & the Led Zeppelin. The Elton John concert is very good. His voice is showing his age as he can't hit the highest notes anymore but I really enjoyed this one. The Led Zeppelin is also very good. I personally don't like the "Knights In Shining Armor" scenes and fast forward through them to get to the concert footage. The concert footage makes it worth having for me.

I have the Queen and Led Zeppelin, and I like them both quite a bit. I would recommend getting Toto - Falling in Between instead of Live in Amsterdam. It has a better video quality, high-def audio while the Amsterdam show has worse video quality and worse lossy audio. Falling in Between is a great show. One of my best friends has it, and I just ordered it last night.
