Anybody Recommend Man on Fire or Speed on Blu? - Page 2 - Blu-ray Forum

ok, thanks guys. I am definitely going to pick up man on fire. I dont really care that it lacks special features...(I never seem to watch them anyways.) I am still not sure about speed..but I think I will cave eventually. I am going to grab the departed when I go out too. Thanks again

Departed is a great flick. My only disappointment with it is that it's a little soft. Thank the HD-DVD transfer for that one, unfortunately. Still, if you like the movie it's worth it.

Speed is a great buy. The PQ is pretty good but the AQ is awesome sauce.

Man on Fire, nothing like a good ol' revenge flick...Speed is one of those movies that was really good back in the day, but now seems a little dated...maybe thats just me

Yeah I think Man on Fire is one of Denzel's best. I have it on DVD, I am thinking about upgrading to the blu. I love this movie.

Both are good flicks but if you are looking for reference PQ and near reference SQ then grab Man on Fire.

Man on Fire is Excellent on Blu. Never seen SPEED RACER, never will, so I can't comment on that one.

Im talking about "speed" not "speed racer." It's too late I already broke down and bought both(man on fire and speed) on amazon. I can't wait for them to come!

I picked up Man on Fire from Amazon for like $6 on Black Friday. Anyways, it's amazing. The pic and sound quality are top notch. Looks and sounds better than the DVD by far.
