Our reviews will be up in a couple of hours.

Damn, I really, really need to get a region free player. What do you mean when you say not english friendly??? Does it have Eng. subs???

Well, 90% of the films are in Spanish. The info is for the French releases by the Wild Bunch/Warner, which I was asked to review by the French members here.
The only optional subtitles on the discs are French.

(The Optimum UK discs, obviously, have English subtitles).

I would like to ask:

Are you interested in having reviews for the French editions (please keep in mind that the discs offer only French subtitles)? If yes, please post here so we know what to do, if not, disregard this post.

i am a french leaving in Canada and my bluray player is locked A... but i'm very interrested of all the french movies and some french editions exclusives... like Pirates (snif region B), asian movies : the Good, the Bad... (re-snif region B), the Chaser (hope this one will be region free), good editions better than US like Two lovers (re-re-snif region B) for exemple... and all the french editions in general... thanks for the Che reviews (re-re-re-snif region B)...

so before having a mulizone BD player, i'd like to say thank you, i always waiting for your reviews and infos about the region of the french editions (i don't find this info "for sure" anywhere else on the web)...

keep continue please :-)

Oh, my god! I'm so sad to hear it's region B as I read on some web sites it's supposed to be a region free and placed so much hope into this!!!! I wanted badly those movies because it never came on screens around here. My dad is in Paris this week and I asked him to buy both movies !!!!

I guess I will have to watch it on regular DVD, beurk!

Anyway, thank you very much for the reviews you've been quick to write them. Your help is very much appreciated and keep going with your good work!

Good afternoon,

Very well then, as much as I can I would try to add reviews for French releases that might be of interest to our community. I am also going to slowly introduce films that are only in French (not subtitled in English), probably with emphasis on Region-Free titles, so people like yourself could take advantage of them, and some very important, French-only, Region-B titles.

Unfortunately, on all three Region-A players I tested the discs, I get a "can't play this format" message, even though the content is in 1080p (there is no PAL or 1080i/50 content). All three players stop in the very beginning. As far as I am concerned, these are Region-B "locked" discs and this is how I flagged them.

Wait for the Criterion discs if you are in North America.

I am definitely waiting for the Criterion releases of both films, but on blu-ray.com it says the DTS-HD MA track is Spanish 2.0, is this a typo? I certainly hope so.

It was a typo, and it has been corrected. Our review will be up in an hour.
