Maybe you should do it when she is away. Buy some small pretty fake flower pots to place on top of the Left and Right Fronts (after some time, you can always accidently knock them down). Then you can say, "Surprise!!! Look what I did for you !!!!!"

Here you go. That is 12' of wall. The option here would be to move my recliner closer to the fireplace
to open up the corner for maybe the sub. The large chair I'm getting rid of so that will be out of the picture. The tables will go on the other side of the fireplace where my TV is now. This of course has to be approved by the wife first

i had to literally copy each picture, and place it on my pc for a meantime to just get the proper 'flow' of the room.

so... my concocted suggestion would be,
1. as suggested, try to change the room firsthand without her in there, and see the results. screaming plates flying and drooling may be a sign that she doesnt approve. MAYBE.
2. i do also suggest to have it where the window is, but i do have to inquire about glare at this point, considering that you have a big door with windows on the other hand that might interfere with the picture. sadly im not your neighbor and cant tell you about how the sun shines and peaks me in the afternoon sun because of them.
3. if ever you do move the set over to the window area, you can definitely set the ED sub on the right side, closer towards the wall, but may find a tad of boom considering that open space right next to it (im assuming is your dining table) would then go outwards, into the other living spaces.
4. all else fails, the other corner would accomodate more space, considering you are letting go of the soundbar, and going to give us full frontal.

let us know how it goes, and *saluting* best of luck.

Looking at the window the sub would be placed to the right where the recliner is now. On the opposite side of the window (left) is a peninsula with two bar stools. Yes with the TV in front of the window it will be facing the door wall which is facing west but can be controlled with blinds. With either the corner placement or the window placement I will have to see which will please the wife I vote for the window placement as this would be the best setup for symmetrical speaker placement. The corner wouldn’t be that bad but the hard part is where to place the surrounds. Either position should sound a hell of a lot better then my sound bar

I would think the WAF on an over the fireplace mount would be pretty high for most women... after all that's where you usually see the tv (IF you actually see one) in most home decor magazines.

My wife would never approve of it, plus I don't want to look up at a TV. With the mantel in place it won't even fit come to think of it.

I think Jomari's suggestions are best. That wall with the window is probably your best bet. Sorry I deflated the sails a bit- that wasn't the intention, but honestly I think you're going to have some work cut out for you to make it look nice with the behemoth you ordered.

I'm sure you'll get it. You may have 1/2 the furniture you had before, though.

Yea it's big but I did make up a mock size of it and placed it over there and it really wasn't as bad as I thought it would be

Off topic... beautiful brindle boxer. Mines reverse brindle, more red. Great dogs.

Jomari is on top of his game. I would go with his suggestion.

Boxers sure are a fun breed. He is a trip. I have all my components except the A2-300 (still waiting). I will defiantly post pictures and let everyone know which way I decided. It will be another good month before it's all set up so I have time to really think this out. Thanks guy's, I really appreciate the input. I just wish I had that perfect room but we don't live in a perfect world and just have to do our best with what we have. Like I said before no matter which way I go I know it will be a gigantic leap forward from my sound bar.
