Default Angled Corner Speaker Placement

I know it's not one of the preferred choices but I have no choice because of my room layout. I just wondered if anyone else has this type of setup and pics as well.

Like corner of a room surround type placement? Look in my gallery for an example...

Just to clarify it, I will have both my L/R fronts in one corner of the room along with my TV. I have to try to make the best of it as I have no other options with my room layout. I am using a sound bar right now and I'm sure this will sound better. Right now I have my TV on an angle in the corner of the room and the speakers will be set up left and right of the TV.

Just make sure you're front L/R are at an equal distance on each side of display ! Will there be A center & surr. .
A perfect triangle with the front L/R & sweet spot is what you are after !!

Ok, here is a quick drawing of my family room. This is how I would like to set it up. The TV is set up in the other corner next to the fireplace right now but I'm thinking I will move it to the other corner as this will give me more room because I won't have to contend with the door wall. Setting it up in the other corner I will be able to place the sub along the wall on that side. my only problem is where to place my surrounds. I have bi pole surrounds and was thinking of placing them on the long shelves above the window and door wall. Please feel free to mock up my drawing with you're suggesting on surround placement. I have the WAF in full effect here so I hope I can find a solution. Thanks in advance for you're help.

LOL, and you're going to put an eD A2-300 in there? Dude, good luck. I understand we have to work with what we have (I'm a prime example of that) but ... there's not a lot of room in there between the windows and fireplace, and the one open wall.

If you end up with speakers in the corner, just try and keep them away from each other and the wall as much as possible. Maybe also have a discussion with the wife about simplifying the decor a little bit. That is of course up to each of us and our relationship with our spouse, but I think it'd help maximize the amount of room you have.

Man dude, you're taking the wind out of my sail. I'm not working with a closet. I have a 12x16 room. Actually when I put the setup in the other corner I will put the sub below the window on that wall with plenty of room. It should work out good there. My recliner and both tables will be removed from that area to make room in which is more room then the other side since I don't have a side wall to work with because of the door wall. If the eD doesn't work out, I will ship it over to you for free

I'd just take the wrath of the wife..... buy a mount (that tilts) and hang the T.V. above the fireplace..... That would solve pretty much every space issue you have.... you're sofa will be dead-center to the t.v..... plenty of room on each side for a nice wide soundfield, center channel on the mantle, or a mount of it's own.....

I know not everyone likes wall-mounted TVs, but I bet most people will like it better than a ton of equipment forced into a corner.....

Good idea but the TV would be to high and the biggest problem would be the WAF.

I don't see a picture of the wall with the window, but have you thought about placing the TV in front of the window? It sucks to place in front of the windows, but you already have a huge view of the outside from the door. Having the TV in front of the window gives you a rectangle to work with and allows you to place the fronts at a decent distance apart. Also, this allows you to place the surrounds higher along the walls of both the fireplace and the opening to the other room symmetrical to the display.

I have been giving that some thought today. That would even work out better. The wall is about 12' long on the window side. I just need to come up with a way to sell that idea to the wife

i might be asking a little much, but can you take a shot from a wider angle? like from the kitchen area, or the entry hall? as much as id like to add on here, i dont want to end up suggesting something, without knowing more.
