For me The Lost World wasn't a great film, probably down with Spielberg's weakest, but it has enough good and inspired moments to get me to revisit it every once in a while. JP III, in my opinion, is a 90 minute waste of time. It has virtually nothing of interest in the plot or characters, nor does it have any well crafted suspense or scares. As much hate as Fallen Kingdom gets, I think it did a better job capturing the horror of the whole thing, despite it's batshit loopy plot.

But Jurassic Park to me will mainly be a single story (the original). As a "franchise" it doesn't have much to offer.

Fallen Kingdom was just the absolute worst. Trevorrow is a hack director and writer whose done nothing to make this franchise anything but even worse than before.

I dare you to disagree with what I said about Fallen Kingdom. I can take a lot of s*** movies and enjoy them, but this one was really bad. Bad as in offensively bad that is.

There's way, way, way more worse movies than Fallen Kingdom.

Much, MUCH worse. Like literally every single original movie released on Syfy. Like many direct-to-video movies Lionsgate released in the mid 00s on Blockbuster shelves, like most of Asylum's catalog. Like literally cheaply made horror movie that pops up on Prime Video (like seriously some movies on the service must have cost 200 dollars to shoot and put together) of which there are countless.

That's because the original DVD was wrong too. He may be off about the master itself, but his color correction is pretty spot on. That's what it looked like in theaters, and images from prints clearly show. It's a vibrant movie with a specific look to it not many give credit for and I blame its poor home video releases on that.

I like them all, but the first one the best. Lost World the least. I do like JP III.

I don't get the hate for Fallen Kingdom. It had some stupid parts definitely but it was entertaining, had some cool new dinosaurs, and tried to be different

IMO it was really well-directed, much better than Colin Trevarrow's (spelling?) first Jurassic World. It actually nailed a kind of gothic-horror vibe with the material that I liked. But the plot was ridiculous-- like something out of a campy 60's comic book. They might as well go forward with that "Jurassic Planet" idea they had a while back at this point and have them do dinosaurs in outer space.

I just had a hard time believing nobody could capture the dinosaur IN A HOUSE.

My main problem with the film was that it was two disparate films stuck together. I'd have been more interested if it was all of one story or all of the other, both didn't make sense.
