I can. It's your opinion and I disagree with it. See, wasn't that simple?

My analysis is that it doesn't come close to a satisfying Batman film.

As for Avatar. I don't see any faults. I thought it was one of the best movies ever made.
OH, GOOD FOR YOU! (Raspy Bale voice)

Oh slamming the TDK and saying Avatar is great, prepared to get flamed and bashed to the high heavens.

Not from me, I like both. But TDK without Heath Ledger as the Joker would be a boring film. Avatar holds up better overall.

I am confused by how people are claiming "horrible acting" from Sam Worthington in Avatar. Granted hes not Daniel Day Lewis but I think he conveyed emotion very well in Avatar. Some of the cheesy lines were due to the script. I never once had a moment where I felt his delivery was not in tune with the character. For instance when he comes from the link bay and we see his scrawny legs and he has come back to reality how could you not feel bad for him, his composure in scenes like that is ACTING. I think people are confusing some of the cheesy dialogue he is saying as to his acting. Just my 2 cents.
Agreed.

Worthington is pretty good at emoting through his eyes too. He totally sells the way the character is feeling.

I agree with you on that scene. Worthingtons expression, the sight of his legs, the music, it was a very sad moment.

For me, the strength in Avatars characters isn't in the dialog but in the visual display of their expressions, mannerisms, etc. There are tons of quirks in the visual display of the characters. Avatar is a very visual movie in pretty much every way possible, from the action, to the characters.

But to not see the glaring faults in this movie, and to give NO credit to a pretty decent Batman film.....?

sigh.

Was that scene with his bony legs real or CGI?

Question I must have answered, Why do you spend 3 months or so arguing the same argument in the Movies forum, then when it releases it continues here? I am just curious, member to member?

Ah ok. It was perfect from what I have seen from those that have lost the use of their legs.

I guess I meant that the "result" was old fashioned.

I don't think Ledger's performance was a mark in the win coloumn for Dark Knight either.

Same question can be directed at anyone on these forums.

It is a discussion forum after all. That is what we're doing. Not everyone is going to agree, of course.

But then the forums would be boring if there were no debates or give and take.

I saw the same question asked several pages back, I think it has something to do with the chapter settings in your blu ray player, look for something that says "chapter mark" or close to that and turn it off. I think that was the answer.

I already have answered them. Every aspect of the presentation are fresh and new.

Yes, it fits one of the many classic story archetypes, but it was told in a new and fresh way.
