Good point. If you break down ever movie and nit pick every detail, I bet there would be very few movies that we would actually enjoy.

At least TPM had a great villian (underused) and the pacing of the film was so much more akin to the OT. Take Jar Jar out and you have a really good film.
I agree with this statement completely! I think people bash TPM out of habit more than anything nowadays. TPM wasn't bad! AtoC was pretty bad. Seriously, the only reason why Anakin and Padme fell in love was the script needed them to! No chemistry at all! Jango Fett and Christopher Lee tried to keep this movie afloat, but were unable to raise the Anakin/Padme Titanic.....

no, PHANTOM MENACE is bad, very bad. Boring, too much Jar Jar Binks,
a great villain that they use for a grand total of 5 minutes?!, a supposed
highpoint being a pod race that resembled a video game, a child actor that
gives the worst performance of a lifetime, etc etc etc

CLONES is the 2nd worst film in the series-- at least it had Christopher Lee
and a resonably exciting ending!

I love the original trilogy.

For me the prequels never happen...seen them once and that was good enough.
In terms of ranking the original trilogy..

ESB
ROTJ
SW...

The last 3 abominations were the worst. Not even close.

I liked Empire the best, then Return, and finally Star Wars.

Actually, there's one reason Jedi was the best - Princess Leia in her skimpy costume!

It's Return of the Jedi.....Jedi's don't get Revenge.

Honestly TPM was great in my opinion. I loved seeing Obi as a padwan and Qui-Gon was a great Jedi and carried the movie with his actingg. Oh and Darth Maul was by far one of the most interesting villians in Star Wars... So much more to be desired and he was poorly used. Should've stayed alive for at least the second movie.

Just look at this and tell me this fight alone isn't worth a 6 out of 10

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2A4fN...eature=related

It is by far one of the greatest fight scenes on screen in my opinion!

And I do agree with most of you that AOTC looks very very CGI heavy and not even that good of CGI compared to oh I don't know Sin City or 300 that look far more realistic than that movie and I hate the lack of real sets that were used compared to TPM.

This is my order though

1.Empire Strikes back
2.Revenge of the Sith
3. Return of the Jedi
4. A new Hope
5. TPM
6. AOTC.

Although I must say AOTC has grown on me due to Obi-wan's long screen time.

What I cant figure is how some of you put Revenge of the Sith up there....it was not a whole lot better than clones. Terrible acting, conclusions that could not possibly be.....god even the light sabre duel was terrible. General Grevious? Now thats one charcter that was not needed! Love how Lucas killed Dooku's importance and screen time with that lame character.

but hey to each his own

Are you serious? The lightsaber fight between Obi and Anakin puts the majority of fights to shame... Wow.

1. Empire Strikes Back
2. A New Hope
3. Revenge of the Sith
4. Return of the Jedi
5. Attack of the Clones
6. The Phantom Menace

The Phantom Menace was bad for the following reasons:

1. Jar Jar Binks
2. Jake Lloyd ("YIPPEEEEEEEE!!!")
3. Boss Nass
4. Jar Jar Binks
5. Made great actors like Natalie Portman, Samuel L. Jackson, Liam Neeson, and Ewan McGregor seem like B-list actors.

However, I have come to appreciate TPM for one reason alone. It showed how Palpatine engineered his way to be Supreme Chancellor. It was with the Trade Federation blockade that he was able to gain sympathy votes, and eventually get Queen Amidala to issue the vote of no confidence to have Chancellor Valorum ousted. There had to be a way that a lowly Senator from Naboo could become the eventual Emperor of the Galaxy, and TPM showed how he masterminded the whole thing.

Attack of the Clones was good for the fight scenes, though the acting was stilted once again. I liked how the chemistry between C3PO and R2D2 was back, and that Jar Jar was relegated to a few lines. Plus he was eventually the guy that delivered the Emperor the powers he needed to start taking over.

Revenge of the Sith was excellent. The infamous "NOOOOO!" scene at the end was bad, but I really enjoyed it a lot. It was dark, and it revealed a lot of answers to questions that had come up. The scene with the bubble opera concert, where Palpatine and Anakin are talking is probably my most favorite scene. I still get goosebumps when I watch it.

Go back and rewatch...terrible....watch the scene where they are right in front of each other...both spinning the sabres and neither one is doing anything....silly silly silly....

Padme...umm losing the will to live? Yeah right, now why not anakin killing her in his rage? She lost the will to live but yet had time to name the kiddos....god I cringe watching that crap.

i love all six, in all their cheesy glory

i thought Attack of the Clones was the worst actually (even though i still like it)

Empire used to be my undisputed favorite, but now i find it swapping with Sith every now and then

so today i rank them as

Sith
Empire
Jedi
Menace
New Hope
Attack of the Clones

Haha, a little whoopsie there.

I don't completely dislike RotJ, but it's certainly not the best.

I'd go

V

III
VI
II
I

I like how it bulges out in the middle. Weird.

The Phantom Menace is every bit as good to me as The Empire Strikes Back along with every other Star Wars movie. I guess I'm just a stupid kid.

But they werent running, and the troopers were probably up close.

By the way I love all the star wars films, even the popularly hated clone wars cartoon.
