I hate to bring back up old threads, but I'm hugely interested in trying to acquire this trilogy in Steelbook form. I understand there's a Steelbook Trading forum, but I thought it'd be a bit inconvenient of me to simply open a thread requesting these 3 Steelbooks - I'd probably be laughed at before my thread faded into obscurity amidst the chaotic wheelin' and dealin'.

I'm in the UK so it's obviously quite difficult for me to track down these 3 Steelbooks, and thus far, it seems I'd be paying around $50 per Steelbook, and that's without shipping included. I know they're collectible, but it still seems a little steep.

I may have to purchase from other sources online, but I was hoping I'd be able to receive a little help from this community first as it's been excellent since I registered just a few months ago. Plus other online avenues may not appreciate the collectibility of Steelbooks and package them pretty poorly which obviously wouldn't suffice if it's being sent over the pond! Whereas you guys here would no doubt wrap them more securely than a bank's vault! I'm genuinely addicted to Blu-rays now. I didn't even own a Blu-ray player 13 weeks ago, now I've a player and nearly 50 Blu-rays.

I'm really after these titles sealed if possible, because I'd love for the back card piece to be included, but I may compromise on the seal should it still be in minty mint condition. I know this is a big ask, but as I say, I know the community here is amazing, and I've already helped several members in the UK section and vice versa, so it's time to branch out I guess and see if anyone can aid me here! I'd love to here from you guys, whether you have them for sale, know someone who is selling them, or even just know an online source selling them for reasonable prices, I'm all ears!

PS: I notice there's also Canadian FS exclusive Steelbooks too of this trilogy. Is there any differences between the Canadian and the USA Steelbooks for this trilogy? I notice a lot of Canadian spines also include the French title, is this the case here? Also, I believe the first 2 Steelbook movies in this trilogy are region free but the third is region locked right, for the American Steelbooks at least yeah? Is this the same for the Canadian FS exclusives too, or are all of the Canadian FS PotC Steelbooks region locked (as the database says on here)?

The FS Version of this Steels is identical to the US Best Buy ones. And yes just the third is locked.

The Disney SteelBooks cost $34.99+tax, so $37 -$38 was the retail price for them to begin with, and that was if you picked them up directly and did not get them from anyone (which would add shipping charges on top of the purchase price). They were on sale on release week and a few of the titles wound up being on sale at various times for brief periods, but that's about it. If you want mint sealed copies, then you'll have to get real lucky (I think) to get them for that much now since they have been OOP for quite some time. I'd say $50-$60 seems about right for the Disney steels right now in mint condition, and some seem to command more. If you can live with some flaws, then I'm sure you could find them cheaper. You can also look for people selling off their collection and getting out of the game to find deals on them.

Oh, and I wouldn't think it funny at all for someone to post up a thread looking for these three. It's actually easier when someone posts up something so specific. You can check my signature link to see that I have a set up for trade, but I'd be looking for 2-3 SteelBooks that I want that are OOP and of equal trade value.

Some are on backorder try the other POTC titles and the other Disney titles. Bestbuy will ship your order as the titles become available just got Wall-e steelbook.

Unfortunately Best Buy don't ship to the UK. The entertainment side of their UK site is ran by the generic 'The Hut' group which have replica sites with just a different name at the top, e.g. Zavvi, Woolworths and more.
