Oh, no! Just watched Machete Maidens Unleashed last night, which featured interviews with Dick Miller. A big loss for sure!

I just picked up the That Guy Dick Miller (along with Corman's World) documentaries last night. Hopefully they're both as good as MMU was.

I liked the cover art a lot. The Roger Corman banner isn't very obtrusive

Cover Art by my good friend Bill Stout. Besides being the fantastic Artist that did a LOT of Bootleg LP Covers back in the 70's, he also a renown expert on Dinosaurs and one of the finest Artists I know.

So, a decent PQ and Audio I guess.

I was just checking-in because I was gonna pick this up (Finally) and I was curious if anyone had heard of a remaster or anything? I'd hate to buy it and 1 week later Criterion does a Deluxe Version.

Sorry, bud, but that's how remasters and deluxe versions get released. Universal law. Bite the bullet so we can all get a 4k scan with lossless audio.

It's great that this is being re-released, but where the hell is Ladies and Gentleman, The Fabulous Stains ?! Come on Paramount, please don't make us wait until the 40th anniversary which will be another two years at least

That and The Great Rock 'n' Roll Swindle. Not a brilliant film, but it's worth the HD treatment for the "My Way" scene alone.

I hope we get some sort of announcement soon. It's odd that it popped up for pre-ordere, with a picture of the steel, yet Shout hasn't announced it.

Two similar steel releases come to mind: Popstar and Platoon...and while Popstar never came to fruition outside of terrible artwork, we all know how Platoon's 4k remaster turned out...not saying that is the case with this, just pointing out similar scenarios.

I've been awaiting to retire the DVD for both of those as well. Along slightly different lines, another one to add to the list is Get Crazy, from the same director as RnRHS (Allan Arkush) and with a soundtrack featuring the Ramones as well as FEAR (and Lee Ving appears in the movie).

Anyway, the fact that the steelbook art doesn't match the look of the usual Shout remasters makes me question if this will actually be a remaster. Hopefully we find out for sure soon.
