Well it looks like fans of the film who are willing to pay the price will go for this release due to the extras. So yeah, the TT release is an easy choice for me (and I'm region free)

Or you can get the Italian release and purchase Mike Siegel's outstanding Passion and Poetry: The Ballad of Sam Peckinpah (see below), which covers virtually everything one needs to know about director Peckinpah and his legacy. It is the most complete and most authoritative work I have seen done for the American director.

I already own both of those but I am still tempted to get this TT release.

There is a common misconception that Mike's Passion & Poetry extra features on BDs are just cut straight from the original doc, but this isn't the case. This one apparently runs for an hour (rivaling the one on the recent Convoy release).

I'm very much looking forward to this release. Nice to see that TT has included an original audio commentary with someone involved in the making of the film. With his past, I'm not surprised that Nick Redman made sure this Peckinpah release was top notch!

Really want to see this movie in HD, but not for $30 and it'll probably sellout in a few hours.

I highly doubt that will happen.

This won't sellout anytime soon and if it does it may take a year or more for that to happen.

Pro-B
I already have Passion and Poetry, thanks

I'm a big fan of Peckinpah. As I said, this edition beats the euro editions for extras, so yeah it was incorrect to say that it's an easy choice to go for a euro edition of this film.

Just a wild ass guess, but I'd say this one sells out in roughly the same time it took Body Double to sell out.

Yes way.

People are underestimating the appeal.

2 weeks might be a bit fast, but maybe a month.

Thunderbolt and Lightfoot hasn't sold out yet and I would think that has more appeal than this one. Not to mention that there is a Region B release already out there for Garcia so many people turned off by TT might pick that one up if they haven't already. Frankly, Garcia is a cult favourite but I seriously doubt it will sell out anytime soon. I'll be pre-ordering Day 1 to be sure though, just in case!

Nope you're overestimating it. But I'll happily eat plenty of crow if I'm wrong.

Also: I won't say it's a definitive gauge, but this thread was made July 2013, and it only has 3 pages. Compare that to the threads for movies that sold out quickly. This isn't getting anywhere near the hype of quick sellout titles
