This is the reason why test scores are so low and HD DVD is still an option in the marketplace... it's because parents don't teach their kids the difference between Blu-ray and DVD!

I agree with the Lion King... I have the 2 disc special edition widescreen and its looks amazing on the ps3 up converted to 1080p.... i was amazed ! This movie will take over if it comes to BLU ! Elton John uncompressed will also be great !

If this was already mentioned, I'm sorry...but having seen the Lion King at the IMAX in Omaha...omg that was a thing of absolute, and total beauty. I think that movie would be phenomenal on Blu-ray.

I cannot wait for the release of Finding Nemo by Disney/Pixar for Blu-ray! The visuals in that movie were out of this world.

I won't have to. Blu will win and there will not be an option, because I buy the movies.

This is the only Pixar film I have not seen, but my kids love this one. I am really considering rebuying all these films. I loved Cars, Incredibles, monstors inc, and the 2 toy story movies.

Parents would want to buy the films to keep the sprogs happy. And as it's Disney and only available on Blu-ray () it should also help the sales of Blu-ray players too (both stand alone and more likely the PS3).

Just think about it. Forget about your Transformers, Star Wars, Lord Of the Rings, Alien etc. It could be High School Musical that finally lands the killer blow in the format war. A bunch of people poncing about singing, how embarrassing would that be for HD-DVD
high school musical 2 is on my wishlist. but it won't deal a final blow. right, girls loved zac efron (I know, my cousin is one of them), but most of them are probably sticking with DVD. Except you're technology freak, I don't see the reason of general public to adopt either HD DVD or BD

My 9 year old son loves HSM and anything Miley Cyrus. Have you seen the price of Hanna Montana tickets?

The quicker Disney can market these properties to Blu-ray, the faster the competition will die.

The true One-Two Knockout punch is this, so listen up Sony...

Get HDTVs into homes.

Market to the CHILDREN of potential buyers, and THEN to the buyers themselves. Americans spend STUPID money on their kids...and also use their kids as an excuse to get what they want as well....

I've seen it enough times here that I feel justified in posting that I doubt a single film will land any kind of killer blow to any format, let alone guitar hero 14 or whatever movie it was you just posted about.

Ah well, hopefully by Q2 2009 it'll all be a memory.

But by the time your wallet is fat again, all of Disney's bd would have been out for a while, thus ensuring a big BOGO at Amazon

I heard that High School Musical 2 was the most watched cable television premiere EVER. Just knowing that it will be good for Blu. The key with Disney is getting families into Blu-ray instead of DUD. This will be an awesome family title, and I predict it will do fairly well.

Also, I did not own a SINGLE Disney movie before I went Blu (I own about a hundred DVD's). The only reason was because they were too expensive. Now I realize just how sweet it is to have those titles in my collection. Most of my Blu collection are Disney movies now.

Yeah I have had people asking for this one at my work both DVD and Blu which is cool, don't care for it myself, but hope it does good to promote/support Blu.

The Disney mall tour will make sure families are into Blu-Ray, I'm pretty sure HSM2 wil be around once it is released.

If you watch Disney channel at all, you can hear several high school musical stars say "High School Musical 2 extended edition on DVD and Disney Blu-Ray Disc"

The kids who love HSM would probably freak out over seeing the kids like they're in their living rooms and hearing the music better than if it was a live concert.
