+ 1 on the Paradigms. You may have a larger footprint with Paradigm than most Bose set-ups, but you'll save a lot of $$$.

I've never really listened to Bose speakers, but I have listened to their headphones and have been pleasantly surprised. But at their price points of $199, $299 you can find something better at half to a third of their prices.

Note though I only listened to the Bose headphones for a couple minutes.

I wouldn't be surprised you'll come to the same conclusion with the speaker set-ups as far as price/value ratio.

hahah, very intelligent statement. Too Funny. OOOhhh thats right, Bose is better because they are popular and they market alot??? So only popular brands of speakers are good? If thats what you think you really have no clue about any of this. Cambridge has great speakers for mid priced, very accurate. But you wouldnt know what accurate speakers sounds like anyways....

Default Bose - "better sound through marketing"

The reality with bose is that they do infact alter the sound reproduction in a way to make is sound "different". Then, they spend massive marketing $ to convince consumers that their "different" sound is better, when in fact it is not accurate, has no sound stage and no depth. They squash the frequency range down to usually 60-10,000. There have been many tests done to show how bose actually reproduces sound, and it is not reproduced accurately according to how it was originally recorded.

Bose has created a massive marketing machine that just continues to push on due to their targeted buyers not doing real research into the quality of their product other than hearing from a salesperson or friend that might have them.

Cambridge Soundworks on the other hand produces a high quality speaker (almost audiophile level) at a reasonable price point. Definately far superior sound to Bose and more accurate. Many people have not heard of them, because they only know what Best Buy and Circuit City carry.
