yeah the coating is truly a gem nonetheless, I still take care of my Blu-ray discs despite of knowing that it sports some protective coating

Just rented We are Marshall from BB and it was very scratched. It skipped a lot so I had to go back for a DVD since they only had one BD version

I have 0 defects on my BD, My 1st Planet Earth had a skip in epi 2 but sent it back and all is right with #2.

No scratches or anything here. I just hope it holds up in the long term. So far, so good.

They should of put this stuff on CDs and DVDs. The hard coating is just one more reason why BD is truly great.

My 6 Yrs old nephew has been playing his PS3 spiderman game everyday and the way he's handling it. it was was DVD it would have tons of scratches already. I clean it with soft clotch and it looks as good as new. I love it. It's definitely good for rental.
