I remember watching the first Star Wars as a kid, and just going into a trance. Unforgettable, and unsurpassed.

Star trek has a heap of series that are excellent, Voyager topping the lot. Movies are ok. First Contact and Star Trek(2009) are the best.

Star Trek wins for me, just more stories put the movies/series. Quality and quantity

That made me cringe.

I was only 9, I could not see it as often as I wanted too

but I made it for it since, closing in a over 1278 time now

Nope, I love the prequels the same way I love the original trilogy, they are exactly the same cheesie type of movies.

Star Trek is more of a "franchise" and Star Wars is just a bunch of movies.

Star Wars...

The fact that John Williams did the score alone makes it better...not to mention the 1000 other reasions.

I did the first time I saw him as well. With the Boston Pops. Premiered Clones music.

When he played the main theme from Star Wars and Indiana Jones, I was a mess.

WOW!!! I was 8 when the first one (Star Wars, that's what it was called then and what I still call it now) came out and even then I didn't think it was good enough to go see more then once at the theater.

LOL. He didn't play the Star Wars theme at all. Until he was called out for an oncore...then he played it. Yeah, I have goose bumps just talking about it.

Yeah, it's always an encore, it seems. I think Star Wars, Indy and E.T. were all encores that night. I've seen him...mmm....3 times now, if I recall correctly. Each performance was special in its own way.

Star Trek 2009 is AMAZING, but Star Wars has the goods.

I'd prefer Star Wars, and would love for someone to re-visit them years from now with new stories.
