Tomb Raider II and Tomb Raider: The Last Revelation are the best. Legend and Anniversary were a blast. Because I'm a sucker for darker material, the 2013 reboot is top-notch. I desperately want to play Rise of the Tomb Raider, but I never justified buying a PS4 just to play that and literally 3 other games.

Rise of the Tomb Raider is my favorite of the bunch. I never played The Last Revelation since I didn't care for the first three much.

When they first came out, I enjoyed them. After playing the reboot series I can't go back & play them anymore.

Only 3 games? There's got to be more than that. The system is chock full of incredible exclusives.

Yeah - if you like TR then get the Uncharted series. All four (about to be five) games are available on the PS4.

It's on PC too, but the port is quite enhanced and may be heavy for older video cards, it's one of the games I'm planning an upgrade for after five years.

Hardly. I sold mine because there was nothing I wanted that I couldn't get on PC. I've bought more games for Wii U than PS4.

I've always been selective with what I played. I enjoyed the single-player action-adventure titles, but now it seems most gaming companies cater to the online social gamer. I don't play FPS, sports, or RPGs. They've never been my cup of joe. Give me God of War series, the Tomb Raider series, Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time, Crash Team Racing, the Uncharted series, and the ORIGINAL Spyro the Dragon trilogy, and I would be very happy forever.

For the PS4, I'm sure I could gain around 10 games, but the ones I desperately want to play are Rise of the Tomb Raider, Batman: Arkham Knight, Mad Max, and Uncharted 4: A Thief's End.

I was all over the original games from the 90's when I was a kid, but I can't be doing with them in this day and age. The reboot is where it's at. Or it was before I gave up gaming. I still haven't played the second TR from a couple of years back. The first TR from 2013 is up there with the finest of its kind IMO.

I'm not really a gamer but my brothers and sisters played the original TR games constantly. I did see the movies, though. This first one was a little dull and the second was a little better. I'm not excited for the new movie or the new actress playing Lara Croft. I thought Jolie was better suited for that part.

I guess Jolie's Croft was the perfect representation of those early 90's games, and it worked in all honesty. I'm really looking forward to the new film with Vikander in the lead role. Of course it could be a terrible waste of time for all involved, but until then I'm cautiously optimistic about its chances. That slight campiness, "tee-hee boobs" vibe of Jolie's films and those earlier games was fine for the time, but I can't say it's something I'd like to see now. Don't get me wrong, I love the ladies, lol, yet I think it's time for a fresh approach.

Good points here. I'm welcome to a fresh approach here but I'm not familiar with Vikander's previous work and not sure how it will pan out on screen.
But I could be wrong and it can work out and be a good flick. We shall wait and see.

I didn't know you could get Uncharted 4, Bloodborne, Horizon Zero Dawn, Nioh, Persona 5, Until Dawn, Ratchet and Clank, the Nathan Drake Collection, The Last of Us Remastered, Gravity Rush 1/2, Driveclub, Dragon quest Builders, The Last Guardian, infamous Second Son and Last Light, the Kingdom Hearts franchise, and little big planet 3 on PC. Good to know.

That of course isn't going on to he countless digital only exclusives, and other exclusives I just haven't played, or haven't released yet. Although I can't fault you for the Wii U. It had some damn great games too despite its reputation.

Did you read my post? "Nothing I wanted" is clearly what I wrote. Why would you assume my tastes are the same as yours when I have just stated black and white that they are not? Many of my favourite games are PC or Nintendo exclusive. My son had some of those games you mentioned, and Knack, and they sucked.

And on the topic of Tomb Raider, I had the latest one half a year before the PS4 release.

Couldn't look bad even if she tried.

(Actually that's a lie, I saw an LV ad of hers at the mall and she looked awful... I almost thought/hoped it wasn't her at first lol)
