Toby Jones and Rafe Spall in Talks to Join Sequel to ‘Jurassic World’ (EXCLUSIVE)

Toby Jones and “Prometheus” actor Rafe Spall are in talks to join Universal and Amblin Entertainment’s next chapter in the “Jurassic World” franchise.

Jones and Spall join Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard, who are returning to star. Sources say producers are also getting ready to test for two other key roles in the project but wanted to get these offers out of the way first before making choices.

Plot details are unknown at this time, including who Jones and Spall will be playing in the sequel to the 2015 hit.

J.A. Bayona is on board to direct with Frank Marshall producing along with Pat Crowley and Belén Atienza. Colin Trevorrow, who helmed “Jurassic World,” penned the script with his writing partner Derek Connolly.

Trevorrow will also exec produce with Steven Spielberg.

“Jurassic World” blew away box office records, scoring the biggest domestic opening of all time with $205 million. The film went on to make $1.67 billion worldwide — including $652 million in the U.S. — putting it in the top five highest-grossing films rankings domestically and worldwide.

Jones currently stars BBC 1’s “Sherlock” and has had roles in features, including “Captain America: The Winter Soldier” and “The Hunger Games” franchise. He is currently awaiting release on Magnolia Pictures’ “A Kind Of Murder”, Focus Features’ “The Coldest City,” and Universal’s “The Snowman.”

Spall is coming off “The B.F.G.” and “The Big Short” and can currently be seen in Netflix’s third season of “Black Mirror.”

Jones is repped by A.R.G. and Spall is repped by UTA. Spall is also repped by Troika.

I'm guessing that's "news" because click-bait sites misrepresented a comment from JW's director and made it sound like Lost World and JP3 were no longer canon. He never actually said that, but welcome to movie news in 2016.

You're right. The big problem with it was the haters. Loved JW. Best movie since the first, and in my opinion almost on par with it.
