Hello everyone, I am new and I have some questions.

Any recommendation to buy original movie posters from the internet, except the movieposter.com?

And is there still possible to find the "One Day" original movie poster, I love it so much

Thank you

There are quite a few knowledgeable poster collectors on this forum. I'm sure one of them will chime in sooner or later. One member in particular that comes to mind, Kinsella5 has a stellar rep. I'm sure he can point you in the right direction.

Hey,

I'm going to start selling some posters and I'm curious what a good price to ask for the standard 27x40 is? Also, how much do shipping supplies / shipping fees cost?

I pretty much want to know the best way and best price to sell them at so that I still come out ahead haha.

Any help will be appreciated!

Can't ask what a good price for a poster is without knowing what the poster is of. If they are original double sided movie posters from the last 10 - 15 years a good price would be $5 for a movie like Scary Movie 3 or $300 may be a fair price for a Dark Knight poster.

As far as materials... I'd be curious to hear what Kinsella might say, but my experience has been that Yazoo tubes are of high quality. I've received tubes from different supplies, but that is one brand you can look up.

Then poly sleeves are a good idea too. Throw in some tissue paper or foam peanuts to pad the ends of the tubes and you should be in good shape.

Giving you cost estimates for shipping is again quite challenging without knowing how many posters you are trying to sell. There are always savings when it comes to volume.

Finally... you can't sell your posters in this thread Head to the B/S/T forum below... you can sell to your hearts content there!

Thanks for the information!

I was just using the fact that I'm going to be shipping for the context of the message.

I appreciate your help.

Guys I would really appreciate your input on this. Can you tell me if I should overload my wall with kaiju posters? lol, I'm just afraid the theme might be too much and that visitors won't even know those are movie posters. (Or they do look like movie posters enough to you guys? )
Cause the whole point of me setting up that tiny hallway was to give it that cinema feel. Would love to know what you think cause I just got two movie poster grails of mine.

Probably one of the most popular and sought after of godzilla poster. And another poster of the movie orochi which surprisingly had quite a few bids on it.

This is how it looks now:

When deciding if I should put 'em in, keep in mind the japanese posters are one sided and probably won't look as good as the thor and independence day with the backlight on.

For those of you who think I should put up the posters, how do you reckon I should arrange them? (I won't change the current spot of the green one)
Should I
1) Put the other godzilla at the other end (where thor is)?
2) Or put it in the middle?

Thank you so much in advance!

^Godzilla on the left; if it's in the middle, the set will look "unbalanced" with two Godzillas next to each other.

The posters look great and the all kaiju theme is awesome.

I think you should put the Thor in the center, and the others on each side of it. But that's just my two cents....

Thanks for the input, yeah I was thinking if I was gonna put the posters up, I'll have godzilla on each side. Why do you reckon I should keep thor over the orochi poster?

Sweeet! Is that the Godzilla poster that was just up on Ebay? As for your hallway you should just get another Godzilla poster for your display.

I just think of the three posters framed, if you were deciding which placement they should be in, I thought the one containing a cast of characters would look best in the center. But you can always change them every few months....

Haha thought of that but quite broke from getting both posters so won't be getting anything for now. Then again them posters (b1 sized) are freaking rare on ebay, so we'll see how it goes. Only have two more posters on my grail list, the godzilla returns and godzilla vs mohtra.

And yup, it was the one that was recently on ebay. Did you bid for it too?

Ah okay, thanks for your opinion! I'll see how it goes. If I can get my girl to help me out might see how they look like.

I should have bid with even less time on the clock. It went up twice before auction ended. Lol. Was just too afraid of missing out cause I was outside and you know how unreliable phone signals are. Good luck bruh! It rarely comes up but I hope you get it in the future! Try to get the b1 version, much bigger and more epic imo. The smaller one comes up more often, so do check first. Almost bought the smaller one once.

What other godzilla posters do you fancy?

I think that all of Noriyoshi Ohrai's (I think that's his name) Godzilla posters are awesome. I really dig his style. My favorites are the two that you have up on here along with the one for Godzilla vs Mechagodzilla 2.

I never saw those posters before. Don't know how it slipped under my radar. Really ignorant on my end when you think about how they release any and everything from pencils to tissue paper to lunch boxes for some releases. Just added some more posters to my poster bucket list.

In reference to your question its your theater. Do as you like!!! As much as we enjoy sharing our theater with family and friends etc, no one pays your mortgage but you and I'm pretty sure no one donates to your hobby as enthusiastically as you.

I've seen some oddball collectibles etc, but I would not say anything about it. At the end of the day its their theater. And that's what matters most.

Rock out with your Kaiju out!!!!

I really love movies, and this website in particular as it has given me the ability to quickly add movies I otherwise would not have seen and/or purchased thanks to the price tracker. I also love movie related pieces of art and thought it would be appropriate to share what I have hung on my walls. Apologies that my camera skills are lacking, but I hope you like what you see.

Nothing much to say about these other than they are by my favorite movie poster artists Tyler Stout and by one of my favorite Director's in Quentin Tarantino.

I love Back to the Future, in my top 3 trilogies with Star Wars and Christopher Nolan's Batman. Though the third movie was a bit lacking, in my childhood it was my favorite due to the Western Theme.

Star Wars has captivated the minds and imaginations of generations of children, with good cause. I picked the variant set because of the original title of Revenge of the Jedi.

I collect comics, have a ton of subscriptions and to me this is perfection.

DC needs to be represented as well.

Scott Pilgrim is fantastic as a film and even better as OG. This is the Nega Misprint variant.

Woah I never knew the artist's name but I've always loved the art from Noriyoshi Ohrai! The metal gear solid ones are simply amazing and the star wars are so well drawn they look even better than actual photos imo. Just found one Godzilla poster that he did that I thought was epic and is one of my grails too! Would love to own it but very little info on it.

Any idea where I can get his metal gear posters?
Is he the same guy that does castlevania symphony of the night artwork? That's another beautiful one!

Godzilla vs Mechagodzilla is pretty sweet too but didn't really like it that much because of that orange kaiju in it. (Is it Rodan?)

Those posters are pretty old and rare, so not surprised you might have missed out on 'em. Which one are you most interested in getting (for your bucket list? )
