True fact, I've seen pictures.
Given the nature of that particular forum, is he homeless and unemployed due to circumstance or by choice? Just my hunch but that might be just a story to stay side by side so to speak with some of the folks on that board.

I was 7 when I wanted to take out the Death Star myself, 11 when I was wishing I could defeat the Nazi's and grab the Ark of the Covenant. Eventually I snapped out of it, as 7 and 11 year old kids are prone to doing.

The guy who wanted to kill himself because he believed he would arrive at Pandora in his afterlife raised that bar way high.

Not painful at all, given it looks downright amazing in 2D. 3D isn't everything.

seriously though, yes is the answer to your question. go back & watch the last 20-30 minutes; you'll see what scene I'm talking about
[Show spoiler](it involves a characters' death & Jake - that's all I should really say)
There are also severlal extensions, inlcuding the new animal fighting along side the navi, and the final fight with Jake is extended. , along witht the scene you are mentioning.

The first one is one of the deleted scenes, the second is just mentioned in the movie but never actually seen.

Couldn't find that deleted scene in the list, guess I need to look harder,
[Show spoiler]disappointed that a photograph and a short conversation is all we really get for Neytiri's sister.

I don't specifically know the name of the scene, but it's the one where Selfridge threatens to get him sent back to Earth.

It may look great in 2D but 3D is how Avatar was meant to be seen. Watching it in 2D is like watching a widescreen movie in pan scan. Yeah you can enjoy the movie but something is always missing.

Don't know if I'd agree with you even though I've seen the movie in Imax 3D. The 2D standard edition still blows me away. Not that I wouldn't want the 3D version. I'll wait the 2 years and if 3D television is still around I'll consider it at that point.

Hey all, I'm new here and I was debating getting the theatrical release of Avatar here at amazon.ca due to its price.

http://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B00340UGM0

I was wondering is this a blu-ray/dvd combo pack cause the picture doesn't show that it is so I wanna know for sure before ordering, thanks!

Avatar in IMAX 3D rules! Drove an 80-mile round trip to the IMAX theater 7 times to see it, lol.

I also just ordered the new Oppo BDP-93 today, can't wait to watch my Collectors Edition of Avatar with that - should hopefully have it by the end of the week...

Whatever happened to store exclusives in the US? I thought Avatar would have about a dozen exclusives between the original release and the re-release. But I'm not aware of any for either release.

I was actually considering importing the books that came with each release in the UK. But I just found out that bigger, better (and cheaper) versions of those books exist over here. So I went ahead and ordered the Field Guide and the Making of Avatar. I guess I'll create my own exclusive version.
