Check out arc_trooper's thread here... he did a great job backlighting his bus shelter posters... and I assume it was relatively economical too.

OFF-TOPIC:
What happened to everyone? This used to be kinda any everyday update. Did many people just move on?
I know for me I switched over to prints (mostly TV show) and went back to wall-scrolls. I think the last poster I picked up was Godzilla.

ON-TOPIC:
I need to pick up an Avengers Ultron "A" poster to match my Avengers one. :3

I'm here, just been busy. New Star Wars Force Awaken trailer #2 is out, those posters expect to be virtually impossible to get so you will find eBay probably being one of the few places to get it, but nothing confirmed or released yet.

It's under Disney now-- so maybe rewards. I know Disney is a pain to get stuff but one of two things happen either they are extremely rare or moderately available. Disney does not hide out like Fox does. I remember being able to turn to the internet to get many official posters from Disney and co. But Star Wars might be a hard one, maybe.

It's Disney, trust me it will be very difficult to get as are most Disney titles. Disney titles are harder to get than Fox, always has been as Disney keeps a tight grasp on them but that grasp has tightened severely in the last few years. True they may offer it up via redemption points, but overall from a poster dealer's standpoint it will be quite hard to get. Even when Fox had Disney the Episode 1-3 posters were hard to get, with Episode 3 being easier to track down than Episodes 1-2.

The thread really made a shift over to prints from posters and I found that to a pretty 'hot' or 'in' thing to collect for a while. At this point it feels as if the novelty of it has worn out and I think thread slow down reflects that.

I'm not around nearly as much as I often bought anything print or poster in some time. My Frozen bus shelter may have been my last pick-up and that was through DMR. With no theatre in the new house and no place to hang prints/posters my collecting has tapered off significantly.

I ran outta wall space!

I am watching out for Randy Ortiz to do an Evil Dead print to finish off the set though.

Anyone know where I can find an original It Follows one sheet ? All the ones I seem to come across are "hi-res prints" or some crap.

Yes, I have to agree with that, I don't buy prints as often as I used to at all. It's worn off GREATLY for me which I'm glad because that was expensive and stressful. Besides I have few places to hang them so I just switch them out like a changing theme. As for posters I only get them when I have an interest so that slowed down too for me.

I never buy prints anymore. I stick to studio issued one sheets, that's where I'm focusing on now.

Which one? Teaser or final? Both are on eBay but the pricing is strange.

EDIT: Okay never-mind all 1-sided.

I can't get enough posters! I hate empty wall space.

Out of all I own, these are my favorites.

This is the UK quad I've been hunting down for some time. Back in 2013, I finally found one. It had to be shipped from England, but it's totally worth every penny I spent. Especially since Titanic is my favorite movie.

This is the "Poster Campaign D" DS. Award posters are quite rare, but this one was only $100. I love it because it's my favorite scene in the movie.

This one is the hardest one I went after. I wanted a full 27x40, but the site sold out and I couldn't find it again. It's a 20th Century Fox poster. This is a reduction that was folded into a magazine. It still looks nice and I'm glad it's mine.

This is a glow in the dark screen printed poster by Brian Ewing.

Dredd originals were rather difficult to get, Lionsgate I believe was the studio behind it and I don't think many poster dealers have access to their posters so what you would see on eBay were about it, but even then that was rather hard to come by, I simply don't think the production run on the one-sheets for the film were very big at all. I am actually still trying to locate some, people often ask about it as the film has quite a fan following.

As everyone probably knows, those Batman vs Superman images were in fact 13x19 mini-posters that were given away at the IMAX preview event earlier this evening, I suspected they would not be one-sheets, personally I thought they were not that good looking.

Titanic was a frenzy at it's peak I remember people trying to pass off the reprinted posters as originals, which still occurs to this day, I believe the gold credit ones were the originals, blue credit ones were reproductions. I think I still have one of the original teaser advance posters for the film before it was pushed back, the door/rivets style.

I met Cameron a few years back, was an incredibly nice guy, he had told me he was starting the transfer for The Abyss on Blu-ray and that fans would love it, but that was quite some time ago and the 25th anniversary was last year and nothing in sight. Hopefully we see a release for it later this year, I am sure it would look amazing on Blu-ray.

My understanding with Titanic posters is that that they were recalled, then sent out again. It was due to missing Gloria Stuart's name in the credit block. Titanic posters with the metallic gloss looking golden letters are originals, the yellow print letters are reprints. The only blue credit block I can think of is the international "dancing" poster, which I am unable to find one with gloss printing. The IMAX 27x40 sheet is pretty rare. I think I ended up paying over $120 for it. It's triple tubed in storage right now, until space allows.

I have a huge 5x8 foot banner from 1996 with the rivet design. I also have it in reprint, but it is framed with a lifejacket from the movie. The banners are rare thanks to the movie being delayed from July to December 1997. The 27x40 DS version is not so hard to get. They even said summer on them! I don't remember the tagline COLLIDE WITH DESTINY being marketed with anything else besides the original TV spots. All others say Nothing On Earth Could Come Between Them.

I really want to light box the Oscar poster.

Titanic the movie seems eons ago, there can be so many changes to posters, or recalls, its sometimes hard for me to keep up. I do remember something about a name being left off and the poster recalled, but then I heard that the originals had gold credits, the reprints had blue. It would take some research to make sure what is accurate and what isn't though. I remember I had in the domestic teaser and final, both posters sold very well and then got in the international final with the three quarter view of the ship sailing and that sold extremely well.

If you are a big fan of the history of the Titanic (I am not), you may want to check out this book below, it appears hardcover is very hard to find but a Kindle version is available. I know one of the authors actually, he is a major Titanic buff meaning the history of the original ship events surrounding it.

I'm pretty sure this is the international print. It's missing Gloria Stuart. This is also available in a yellow block variant in either DS or SS. I haven't found a DS original blue block, but there could be a few out there.

This poster is the DS original with the glossy golden letters. It includes Gloria. Oscar version.

This is the typical reprint/original DS/SS. There were different two variants. I own both types of reprints. Both missing Gloria.

I'm glad there's finally someone that doesn't think I'm crazy for researching Titanic posters!

Nope, and neither should anyone else. You have a passion for it, and that is no different than anyone else who has a passion for something in this world. Collecting various things can be fun, and also expensive. I really don't collect much of anything, I have my favorites and things I love, but when it comes to collecting I still get comics, of course I have an insane amount of movie posters and prints, and I am a huge fan of the Japanese animated cartoon series Star Blazers from the late 70's early 80's and the recent reboot in Japan over the past few years but don't understand Japanese so thankfully the discs have English subtitles.
