I know what he meant by saying this. Maybe Paramount wanted to wait till another high profile horror series was released before they released Friday the 13th. I would bet more people would be inclined to purchase both of the series if they are both on the shelf. Or maybe Paramount will wait to see how it sells... either way I understood his point/reason for saying it. You obviously didnt.

If this is reasonably priced i'll definitely buy it. I already own the Nightmare double feature of Parts 2&3 but would very much like to have this set. Correct me if i'm wrong but i read that the original Nightmare BD has lip sync issues? This is why i had held off on purchasing it so i'm curious if that problem was fixed on the UK set since this looks to be a repackage of that.

Hmmm....I can get $8.05 if I sell back my sealed copies of NOES & NOES2/3 to Amazon.

I went ahead and preordered, but I'm not sure what I'll do with the ones I have.

Pre-ordered! Something I rarely do, but I've got to know that this will be at my front door release day since my town's Best Buy closed last spring and I doubt Wal*Mart or Target will carry this bad boy. Until I get the final specs I'll hold on to tried and true DVD boxset. I figured we'd at least get a double feature set of 4/5 for this fall, so this is a nice surprise. Hopefully the remaining sequels retain the features from the boxset like the disc for 2/3 did. I could care less about the 3D ending for 5 so as long as everything else is there I'll be a happy camper come October 2.

I was just about to order this set from Amazon UK the other day glad I held off. I now have this on pre order from Amazon. Sure it would be nice to have a bonus disc(though for me the bonus disc was useless anyway since it was PAL) but its not a deal breaker for me I am just glad that I will be able to own all the Nightmare films on blu-ray since it was one of my favorite horror movie franchises

I know. Unfortunately, Friday the 13th isn't like the NOES franchose. Blu-ray discs don't already exist in other parts of the world. Paramount have not bothered to work on the subsequent releases at all since they figured 1-3 didn't net them enough money. Pretty dumb.

That disc has been something that's been a question mark before we even knew if the set would come to the States, but people still wanted to wait. There's nothing wrong with that though, but all the movie discs contain a bunch of special features themselves and I have been enjoying my set for some time now, thanks to the UK release. Got it at a great price, too.

The only thing that will be shocking is if it IS included.
I guess I'm not following... You're saying Warner owns the rights to the tv series, so it would be shocking for it to be included in a set they are distributing? Why would it be shocking for a studio to release something they own the rights to?

Yeahhhhh I don't know. Someone said in the other thread that they thought there was a distribution rights issue with the episodes but looking back, that seems to be unsubstantiated.

I was hoping for a set with extras similar to the DVD box set, and more important, I was hoping that a Blu box would include the
Never Sleep Again: The Elm Street Legacy documentary.

WBShop is stating BD Multi-Disc (7-10 disc) Case.

Perhaps, that means movies will be available as standalone releases, not as double packs..?

Something like this

[Show spoiler]

That would be amazing. Especially if they each have their own original poster art.

I don't want to get my hopes up but if this box set means the films will be getting individual discs then I will be one happy camper. Fingers crossed!

You guys could have had this set a year ago had you just went with the UK release. But yeah it's nice that North America is getting the release. Now give us the rest of Jason and we are set!.

I'm really sick of people saying that stuff. Importing foreign sets isn't something all of us can do.

And glad to see this FINALLY get released over here.

Oh, and WBShop doesn't have this listed. http://www.wbshop.com/category/wbsho...end&sortType=1
