It's not from Amazon though, it's a different seller. I'm waiting for Amazon itself to have it available so that way I know I can return easily if need be and am price protected as well fro 30 days.

I had the 300 for a year and just switched to the 350. During the year I had it there was only one time I needed a firmware upgrade, and it was just recently with V For Vendetta. Sony's customer service is very good and they are prompt. My 350 has a one year warranty but the firmware upgrades are for as long as you have the player. I really liked the 300 which I bought after having too many issues with my Samsung 1000, but with my stimulus check in hand I decided to upgrade. So far I really think the 350 is fantastic, and plan on sticking with it for the long haul.

My mistake. It is being sold on Amazon from another vendor at another price. Looks like Sony Style is the only one shipping again this week.

Sony, by the way is getting the player shipped within 24 hours of ordering.

Has anyone used a 1.1 BD with this unit yet? The manual sort of says you need a flash drive for it to work. I thought you only needed the flash drive for a 2.0 BD(and a network connection of course). Any thoughts?

I just plugged it in and it boots up fast in about 10-15 seconds. The picture is beautiful and sound quality excellent. Thats about all I know about blu ray.

ordered from amazon just an hour ago and chose one-day shipping (a whole $3.99 extra with amazon prime)... i'm showing tomorrow as my estimated delivery date. i'm so excited!

Sucks for me I preordered mine on 7/8/08. Still not showing a date.

I peordered also and mine did not show as shipping. Contacted Customer Support and received a reply that there was an issue that prevented my order from shipping. Was informed that the error had been corrected and my player would be shipping soon. If you have preordered from Amazon, I would suggest contacting CS. Just checked and my delivery estimate is now 7-17.

I did email CS and didn't get a response. I ended up just canceling the order and then reordering now I have an arrival date of 7/17/08.

Just ordered from Amazon. Had over $150 in credit with them so I'm getting the player for under $250! PS3 will be regulated to gaming and backup duties while this new beast will be bitstreaming lossless audio to my 805.

I live in the UK and i hate the low quality of blu-ray movies region B , in fact i stoped buying movies region B a year ago, but unfortunattely not all movies are region free and my player is region B.

Does anyone know how can i buy a BDP350 region A and it to be sent to the Uk???

Any help with it I'll be gratefull.

Got my S350 today and but I will wait to hook it up until tonight. It arrived perfect from Fed Ex which is a switch and now I enter the realm of Blu Ray! I will give my thoughts on it once I watch my first Blu Ray movie tomorrow after work. God I am excited as hell.
