Default The Sony BDP-S500 Review Thread
Hiya,

I've just bought a BDP-S500 for use on my main screen (Sony KDL-46X2000).

The picture quality is stunning, to the extent that I am now re-watching most of my titles with my mouth wide open. Casino Royale on this player just took my breath away it was so good. Planet Earth looked stunning too even given its VC-1 encoding.

Load times are not too bad. CE3K took just about a minute as did Sunshine. Warners titles loaded nearly immediately as did Paramount as expected.

The audio quality too is very good, though I have not been able to try out lossless audio, as my amplifier is quite an old one.

Highly reccommended!!!
