Default The Sony BDP-S560 Review Thread

I just received my new Sony BDP-S560 from Amazon.com. I set it up immediately and put it through its paces. Overall, this is a very nice player and the wireless network connection is a welcomed addition to the Sony Blu-Ray player line. Setup was straightforward and streamlined with the resulting picture really pristine.

The only drawbacks to this player that I have found (and this really irks me) is that there is no "EJECT" button on the remote. You physically have to get up, go to the player, and hit the eject button on the player. Now, this may seem petty, because you have to go to the player to load a new disc anyway, but it is a convenience that they actually took away which previous models incorporated. Another drawback is that contrary to popular belief, there are no analog 7.1 outs. So if your receiver uses this you're s.o.l. The only other drawback is that the remote is not backlit.
