My Mean Maxine came in today and it looks just fantastic at the same time my first British quad came in... I am giving it to my dad for his theatre... It looks great, I grabbed the ds girl with a dragon tattoo.

My 2 new additions purchased from our own Kinsella5. In two weeks there will be a Stout Captain America screenprint between these two posters!

Very cool... I didnt know kinsella had the batman poster already, good to know. Looking forward to see what you are going to do with your stout. I got one too but I've got 3 prints that need framing so i'm several months out from investing in that ATM.

I bought them from All Posters. I'm returning them, however, because they were a waste of money on my part, money that could have been spent elsewhere.

I wish I had stumbled across this thread before I made a purchase at moviepostershop

I ordered the advance Captain America and a Tron legacy. They arrived today and Cap is a little dark, and Tron has fuzzy text on it.

So you got a captain america stout too? Did you get reg or variant?

Right now the plan for the stout is to hang it in a deluxe frame from hollywoodposterframes.com. It has a nice 1-inch aluminum frame, acid-free archival backing, and non-glare UV filtered plexi for about $100. I'll put a pic up when I get it on the wall.

I'm gonna try and get the Nightmare on Elm Street 3 releasing today, doubt I'll have much luck though.

I still gotta acquire a Stout Captain America as well.

Had it in my cart and it must have sold out right before I submitted the order. Ugh.

I got the regular one, I didn't even try for the variant, I liked the price point of the regular one better, my wallet has taken a beating recently. Looking forward to seeing your pics of it.

I like that you guys in here seem to actually buy the posters to enjoy in your own house, and aren't this a$$holes hocking these posters on ebay because you like raping people for money. I have a huge prob with the people who buy anything just to resell it immediately and never have the want or intent to enjoy it.

BTW this isn't a rant just because I didn't get a poster and I'm crying, I just think it's a shame for the people that like a certain movie and want to buy a poster that they are denied because of money grubbing c*@#s but hey who am I to judge they are making money hand over fist.

I would LOVE to have a set of the Star Wars (Oily Moss?) those are some of the finest I have seen. But I refuse to pay $2200-7000 for a set of them.

Mondo just needs to raise the prices of their posters and make as many as customers are willing to buy over a certain time period. Maybe a day instead of 22 seconds.

If I were you I would just buy the poster and frame it with a Trend Setters (when on sale or use the weekly 40% 0ff coupon) frame from Michaels. If you wanted to you can buy an acid free mat to use as a backer. Or you can order a frame and materials from Frame Fit or Graphic Dimmensions and frame it yourself if your up to it. Thats my view any way. Though I should say if I were buying one of the collectable posters some of these other guys are buying, I could see getting it framed professionally.

Regarding moviegoods.com, caveat emptor. As Kinsella stated here and in other posts, their "reprints" can be shoddy. I wished I had read this thread a few months ago when I ordered a couple of posters from them. With the larger of the two, you could see the banding that appears sometimes when you print solid colors from an inkjet printer. With the other poster, they didn't even bother trimming off the large white border at the bottom that was another dead giveaway that it was produced using a computer printer and not a printing press.

Thanks for the reply. I have never framed a poster (or even a picture to be honest) so the process seems daunting and I would not want to ruin anything I've just purchased in the process. With that said, I definitely see the benefit of money saved if I do it myself. Perhaps I will try on a smaller poster and see how it goes. I only have wall space for a few more full sized posters, but my hallways are bare and can sport a few smaller sized posters for sure.

Thank you for the reply. Looks like Kinsella is pretty passionate on this, which I would hope if he is dedicated to his hobby (and business?). Sadly I have already purchased my two reprints and so I will simply have to wait and see what kind of quality I receive, but I do appreciate sharing your experiences and I will take this (and soon my own experiences) into consideration moving forward. With that said, I'm also not in a position to start spending $150+ for original prints + framing afterword, so right now budget will also play a large roll in my poster purchasing.

Thank you again.

Very nice HP poster. I was checking some out and that was probably going to be the one I chose if I pulled the trigger on a HP poster for my room. Where did you purchase if you don't mind me asking?
