I'd be interested in finding out how you got your review copy when media were informed yesterday that Twentieth Century Fox wouldn't be sending out review copies of "Avatar" until street date. Curious if a store broke street date.

He didn't get a review copy, he got the actual disk from probably a seller that broke street date. There is already scans of the disc, case in the Avatar thread.

Some people are lucky to get high profile releases before release date, I got my copy of The Dark Knight a week before the official release date, or something close to a week.

I don't see a problem with buying the "bare bones" version of Avatar now and getting the "Special Edition" in November. Jeez, it's not like I haven't done this before with other movies, many times.

It doesn't help, and that imo is the joke behind this particular aspect of the whole "Eco/Save the Planet" thing. All that punching a few pieces of plastic out of the keepcase does is, it renders the case less able to adequately protect the disc inside.

That coupon is supposed to be online. You need the AVATAR Blu-ray/DVD to unlock the special features of the official website using codes.

It's in the press release, and no this wouldn't be online yet. Think of early Blu-ray reviews of BD-Live titles that couldn't be accessed by the reviewers because the official release date hadn't arrived at the time of their writing.
