Default Pal Blu-Ray with USA Panasonic Projector

The 1080p Panasonic Projector I have says it plays Pal format, does that also mean Pal Blu-ray? Curious to purchase secondary PAL blu-ray and want to be sure it can process the region locked ones on a Panasonic projector

Region lock is through the player and disc not the projector/display.

With that said, there is really no such thing as a PAL Blu-ray Disc. There are 1080i/50hz discs that only work with PAL players but 99% of all movies are 1080p worldwide. Extras may be NTSC or PAL dependent on the company that makes the disc.

1080i/50 camcorders have "PAL" written on them, and 1080i/60 camcorders have "NTSC." So it is probably acceptable to refer to these formats as NTSC and PAL HD. I have seen US TVs not accept any 50Hz signals, but in Australia, the TVs will accept 60hz video, in fact Sony PS3 games seem to all run natively at 60Hz everywhere in the world, So it must be mandatory for all HDTVs around the world to display 1080/60. Doesn't seem the same for the other way around. This is a shame because I would like to watch shows like Top Gear which isn't even shown on TV in the US..Americans are really missing out here. I think projectors are more likely to be multi-format, so I wouldn't be surprised to see lots of US model projectors be 50Hz compatible.

More or less all projectors are compatible with PAL or 50hz HD material. So you won't have any problems.

Also, projectors are mostly the same worldwide. I bought a US projector (Benq W10000), and as always it includes 3-4 different power cords, so most projectors will also work on anything from 100V-240V.
