I am a fan of FPS. There are two games that are due to be released this Fall for the PS3, that both have unique aspects.
MAG vs Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising -- Which game are you looking forward to most? MAG has great potential for amazing Multliplayer since it can host up to 256 players at a time. Quote:

MAG will be awesome for massive battles and Operation Flashpoint will have great co-op, and should have a great AI too. The game is almost to scale in flashpoint (per the wiki article The island of Skira, which is located on the western end of the Aleutian Islands, Alaska was involved in WWII and has previously been liberated by United States Army and Canadian Armed Forces. The developers have endeavoured to copy the 277.698 km2 (107.220 sq mi) accurately to give players a sandbox composed of natural terrain which has not been created by level designers. This was done not only to enhance realism but also to keep players from using a particular set of tactics or methods. Players are forced to deal with the strategic challenges posed by real terrain.) I am looking forward to both of these games. Which game are you most interested in and why? |

OFP Hands down double blind.
Oh btw a new game trailer for OFP is up. http://www.joystiq.com/2009/06/02/op...ff-finer-poin/ In all honesty they are very different games, theres a difference between sight-see-engage over see-shoot style. In a sight-see-engage game, a trooper would notice a tank and 5 troops in the distance he calls it out. The officer pulls out his bino. and confirms them as enemy troops, he orders all to hold fire and go stealth. He orders the rocket launchers into a position to set them up in positions to take advantage of the weak points in the tank's armor. The rest of the squad would be positioned in a ambush all watching the enemy until the officer finally orders rocket launchers to engage the tank, then orders all units to open fire and engage. When the rocket launchers have finally destroyed the tank, they will communicate back, tank destroyed, as they automatically switch to there rifles and begin targeting new enemies. And with each kill you will hear target soldier is eliminated as the officer continues to access the situation and nervously watches his left and right worried about a surprise attack that never comes... In a see-shoot you would see everyone charge into the 1 tank and 5 troopers with no ryhme or reason to quickly destroy it using there skills honed in unreal tournament as they bunny hop to victory. ![]() |
